Spoilers How it will end, your predictions.

Maybe they DID notice, and the probe was deliberately attempting to destroy Earth in retaliation for the extinction of the humpback whales...
That’s what I figured it always was. Looking for whales, then putting the whoop ass on whoever is responsible for their existence.

Just take him away from the dilithium planet.

I mean, obviously there's no "100%" assurance that Su'Kal couldn't cause another Burn regardless of his location, but I got the impression that the Burn happened partly (or wholly) due to his proximity to such a huge stash of dilithium.

Remember, Su'Kal developed a connection to that enviornment before he was ever born. For all we know, if he's removed from said environment, he couldn't do any more damage.
They have yet to say that Su'kal's power require he be on the Dilithium planet to work.

Further that wouldn't really solve the issue of him being a potential weapon, that some groups could/would drag back to the Dilithium planet to use against everyone else.

Remember, at the "uncountable trillions" scale, anything less then 100% certainty is too much of a risk.

They disabled two Klingon ships. What made them think that they had anything to do with it? Or any of the random ships or stations they crossed paths with?

You don't like Star Trek do you?

In a way the show Picard ends up with a non-resolution, any android could still build the beacon of destruction and activate it.

So I wouldn't be surprised if it ended in a similar way.

Su'Kal is the Majin Buu of Discovery. Child-like and hidden away for an eternity. But don't make him upset or he'll destroy EVERYTHING. Only thing that's missing is that he can't turn people into candy.

So, one way or another, Su'Kal will probably have to be "put down".
I vote for put him down. But this is 2020, we’re all inclusive, which also includes genocidal murderers. They’ll probably shake their finger at him and ask him to promise to never do it again.

Putting him down would definitely not be the Starfleet way. The Founders killed billions of people, they forgave them in a day.

The difference with Picard is they never really established that the alien AI's could do what the Androids thought.

They didn't forgive the Founders, they compromised and accepted what amounted to a conditional surrender in exchange for the Founders not ordering the Dominion to fight to the end.

Su'Kal is neither genocidal nor a murderer.

The Burn was an accident. That's all it was. A plain, simple accident. Su'Kal didn't intend for it to happen, it was a purely instinctual, defensive reaction. He had no idea of the destruction his "cry for help" would cause.

If anyone tries to take action against Su'Kal for this...they're the murderers, not him.

Nahn rejoins Discovery as XO under new Captain Burnham who is promoted after Book dies saving everyone. Saru decides to become a father figure to Su’kal and realises he’s not fit for commanding a starship in this new environment.
