Yes, indeed. From the reaction you would think that it was a full on William Wallace torture scene, with full view of spilled guts.

What would one have to do with the other?

A: The Picard flashbacks are 2285, Renegades starts in 2388.
It's been awhile since I saw Requiem part 2, but I'm pretty sure "Jirin" comes back from his spacing in part 1.

Lol, Icheb? Who is Icheb? That annoying borg boy from Voyager? It’s funny, “Icheb fans” wasn’t a thing until he got killed off. Who else shall be killed off in season 2?

Funny, I never thought of Icheb as "annoying." Then again, I never thought of Wesley as annoying, either. Do you also regard Jake and Nog as annoying? How about Naomi Wildman?

For that matter, do you regard Porthos as annoying?

Naomi Wildman grew up nice, don't kill her off.

But Porthos definitely gotta go. One of the episodes in Season 2, should be Picard and team goes back in time to Archer's time, kidnaps Porthos and beams him into space ;)

I didn't find Icheb to be annoying but I didn't care about him enough that I was like "Oh no! Not Icheb!" For me it was more about how it affected Seven, since Seven viewed him as a surrogate son.

Unless you're a hardcore VOY Fan -- and I'm not -- I don't think most other people care that much either. They're more horrified at the graphic manner in which he was killed off. And again, I say that was necessary to fully understand why Seven wanted to track down Bjayzel and get revenge. And it did a good job of showing how horrible Bjayzel was.

Not annoying but often times overstaying their welcome in terms of presence. Wesley went from tolerable to OK to weird. Jake and Nog were just odd at times.

    Porthos was definitely annoying.

Porthos wasn't annoying. His master, OTOH...

First of all, there were no valid reasons for Seven to kill Icheb. This is the 24th century for crisps sakes!!! At the very worst she could have put him in a stasis field and transport him to a medical facility. Any damaged organ could be replaced. Look at Airiam!! I mean, seriously!!!

Why bring Discovery into this? I mean Discovery is not taking place in Prime universe, why compare apples to oranges?

I hate to bring this to you, but Discovery IS in the prime universe and Airiam was in a time BEFORE Picard so what's true for Airiam is even truer for Icheb.

Well that's just your wrong opinion. My opinion (which is infinitely more right than yours) is that Discovery is not in Prime ;)
Which also explains your point why Seven had to kill Icheb. There was no Airiam or medicine what created Airiam in Prime universe past, so she couldn't save Icheb.

BTW, it's quite ironic coming from Seven whose nanoprobes can bring people back from the dead...

Amazing. Every word of what you just said was wrong.

For one simple reason: The people MAKING the show have explicitly said it takes place in the prime timeline.
