I’ve often wanted to see the revised pilot nacelle vents on the back but the production front caps on the nacelles.
The rectangular aft cap with forward spikes should be for Constitution as launched. My head canon, I know...

YES, but ... they committed a cardinal mistake (from my point of view). They included the top-of-the-saucer round port as a lit window. The top front round cut out was NOT lit during the series. I believe it was painted over to look like the regular hull.Didn't they also build a new model for Trials and Tribble-ations?![]()
