I'm curious who all will be in this. I'm thinking after where we last her Cara Dune is pretty likely.

They have been using a lot of cool actors. I hope they continue. I suspect we will see that with cameos for all of the shows.

I think I would have to skip the show in that case. The actress is a terrible person, and I can just barely tolerate watching Mandalorian when she shows up. A show focused on her would not be good, although I wonder what the show becomes as time goes on. It's obviously not filmed yet, and with that name they could do a lot, and Disney could really just drop her pretty easily at this point. It'll be weird for Disney to keep supporting an actress who is full anti-vax and various other hard right wing nut job supporting stuff. Even in a company that still supports Chris Pratt, Gina Carano is way more of a detriment at this point, and the fact that she mostly went public with being a huge asshole after filming season 2 of Mandalorian means that there's nothing to say she couldn't get dropped.

Looking forward to what the come up with, even with Gina. I separate what a person says/does in real with the rolls. If I didn't I'd be watching alot less tv/movies. Nobody gives a darn when there left wing nutbags.

What would this one be about? The New Republic's efforts in the Outer Rim? Or a push into the Western Reaches/Unknown Region?

Maybe the things that New Republic pilot's been dealing with so far in The Mandalorian will be set-up for this. After the New Republic hears back about the things that guy's seen on the Outer Rim, maybe they decide to be a little more proactive and send these rangers out there to more effectively deal with problems.

And as much as I like Cara Dune, I really don't see Gina Carano being given this show.

When I saw the title my assumption was that it would be an animated kid's show (the title certainly sounds appropriately adventurous) so I'm curious where they're going with it.

As much as I appreciate Cara Dune as a character, I'd be more comfortable if Gina Carano weren't involved in Star Wars from here on out. Separating the art from the artist is all well and good when it's academic (i.e. said artist is dead, eg: Lovecraft), but when they're still active I don't like to financially support people that advocate and contribute to crap that actually hurts people. No piece of entertainment is worth that. It's also why I'll never buy another Orson Scott Card book, or adaptation thereof so long as the little shitbag draws breath (and royalty checks.)

Cara Dune would be fun to see but I doubt that's the intent. So, probably a bunch of newbies.

Also, I can't read the title without thinking of this:

^I was thinking Babylon 5, though it probably should be one level further up to Lord of the Rings, given the Ahskoa=Gandolf thing.

I mean, ultimately I'm sure it will be more like the Rangers of the North or Babylon 5. But, my brain is weird some times.

Well apparently Rangers is going to be set closer to RotJ in the timeline.. According to Faverau. No comments on the other W's

Some people were wanting to see Kal Kestis from the game Jedi: Fallen Order as the Jedi who from The Mandalorian season finale, but if they were going to bring characters from the games into the shows, I think I'd rather see Iden Versio, and Del Meeko from Battlefront II in this. I don't think we know what they were up to in the years between Jakuu and the lead up to The Force Awakens, so there is plenty of space to fit in some appearances on this. Both Janina Gavankar and T.J. Ramini, who provided their voices and likenesses, are mainly so live action TV and film actors so there would be no problem with them being on this.

Well Janina Gavankar already showed up on set just to help the puppeteer crew operate the Mon-Cal fisherman's nostrils, so I think it's a safe bet she's game...
Or Kyle Katarn :)
I was about to object and say the character has been made redundant with Rogue One, then I realised they could just bump his story over to whatever covert mission got them the skinny on the second Death Star. Of course this also renders any potential Dash Rendar inclusion redundant. Win-win!
