Well she is a Queen

Well she is a Queen
The real question here.
If all that's needed is physical contact, why didn't they hook Discovery up to Federation HQ and turn it into a mobile battlestation?
I've reevaluated the episode. It's better the second time around. A soft 7.
Doug Jones is the best thing about this episode hands down.
What? this isn't TNG season 1 or 2 or 5 or 6 or 7.^ Bad writing.

Or VOY Season 1-7.
Perfect officers make for boring drama. Give me Kirk second guessing himself and making mistakes but pulling off a last minute save. The 23rd century bred a lot of Starfleet officers who liked to break the rules, it seems.
I mean, it worked out well for the Enterprise so why not?Somehow Discovery’s most functional crew member is the guy who died and got resurrected.
No kidding. My favorite episode is Balance of Terror and in that McCoy is counseling Kirk of an appropriate course of action. I see TNG praised because they made the bold choice of having a counselor on the bridge.Perfect officers make for boring drama. Obsession is another good one where Kirk isn't on his A game.No kidding. My favorite episode is Balance of Terror and in that McCoy is counseling Kirk of an appropriate course of action. I see TNG praised because they made the bold choice of having a counselor on the bridge.
I really hope that they don't kill him off because Vance is definitely one of those admirals that I like. I think that the Discovery crew has been through, as the medical terminology would have it, a shit ton and that has resulted in some bad habits in terms of their day to day running of their ship. The way Discovery is used to doing things is going to come into conflict with the way Vance wants to do things. Ships in the fleet he commands are at a premium.
He's not going to like that the location of Starfleet Command has been compromised. It's very likely, if Osyrra doesn't kill him off, that he'll want to shake things up to keep it from happening again. He's trying to be understanding of Discovery, but he doesn't strike me as someone who likes to play it fast-and-loose.
