That could be it. ThanksFor me, it reminded me of Loki's scepter from the first Avengers. The immediate cessation of resistance, the changing of the eye color, the servile obedience to the holder of the mind control device.

I have a bad feeling The Admiral IS the leader of the Emerald Chain........he's been working both sides for years.I am reading comments where the posters think that this is an inside job. That makes sense to me, as they knew where to land personnel and how to control the spore drive operator. The quickness of the mind control device reminded me of Loki's staff in the first Avengers movie, where, if he touched the person with it, they became his slave.

It's Grudge. She's the traitor.
Grudge walked differently, that's why she's in sickbay - she has a bug in her paw? XD
Mutated child gains powers through radiation that emits some sort of SubSpace wave that resonates with Dilithium, all because he's crash landed on a Dilithium planet and somehow his cells adapt in the most random way to have synergy with Dilithium such that his cry's can resonate with Dilithium and turn Dilithium Crystals inert? If this is the real cause of The Burn, then that's a hell of a letdown.

"What you want is Irrelevant." Seems like 32ND century freed Borg, and Borg tech.
Meh-better than a villain twisting his mustache and swearing REVENGE!!!!!!!If this is the real cause of The Burn, then that's a hell of a letdown.
The only problem was that they couldn't control the cat so the project was a failure.
Not sure how I feel about this one, didn't go in expecting it to be a holodeck episode.
It's a shame Tilly was only bluffing about turning on the self-destruct. Tell me there's at least an ounce of chance she did think to rig something up if not that during all that time they spent cloaked. So Discovery is captured, Stamets has white eyes... things can only get better after that.

I don't think she was bluffing. She was taking off guard by someone selling them out. It's a shame Tilly was only bluffing about turning on the self-destruct. Tell me there's at least an ounce of chance she did think to rig something up if not that during all that time they spent cloaked.

That's the only thing that keeps me trying to figure out WHO ELSE it COULD be. Booker, Grudge, the Andorian (Mary Wiseman's hubby). I like going in to the final stretch not having it all figured out. As long as they don't Scooby Doo it or hit a reset button a la Berman era, I think I'll be fine.Nah, way too obvious. The writers seems to be going out of their way to avoid the obvious this season.
