Kenneth Mitchell is the bearded guy that Osyrra speaks to in the preview. Glad to see him return, even in his ALS state. Can't wait to see next weeks episode.

He, in his wheelchair/gurney state, is seen briefly outside of Stamets' cube and Osyraa seems to be telling him "We figured out how the spore drive works" (unless this is a trick of editing). Is he her boss, and thus the real leader of the Chain? Or is he someone else and she's gloating? Is he the Federation President?

Osyraa walks up to Admiral Vance.

Vance: "What took you so long?"
Osyraa laughs. They kiss.
Book: Are you all right?

Vance: Osyraa's here. Get help. You're no match for her, she's an Orion!

Burnham: Admiral Vance, Orions are our speciality.

Osyraa: Your phasers, please. We don't want to make a mess of things in front of the Admiral.

Burnham: You won't get away this time, Osyraa.

Osyraa: I've been looking forward to this.

Book: My powers have doubled since the last time we met, Osyraa.

Osyraa: Good. Twice the pride, double the fall. I sense great fear in you, Michael. You have hate. You have anger. But you don't use them.

(uses pheromones to make Book shoot himself)

Burnham: NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

(Burnham picks Osyraa up and breaks her back over her knee in a rage, Bane on Batman style)

Vance: Good, Michael, good. Kill her. Kill her now.

Burnham: I shouldn't...

Vance: Do it!

(Michael vaporizes Osyraa)

Vance: You did well Michael. She was too dangerous to be kept alive.

Burnham: I shouldn't have done that. It's not the Federation way.

Vance: It's only natural. She killed Book and you wanted revenge. It wasn't the first time. Remember what you told me about the Battle of the Binary Stars?

(sounds of Klingons screaming as if Burnham can still hear their deaths)

I watch the clip for next week's episode. Admiral Vance was suspicious about Osyraa's ability to trap the Discovery. He mentioned comprised lines of communication.
