Burnham: Carl, where did Georgiou go? What did your door do to her?!

Carl: By the time she's done changing the timeline, you'll find yourself back in the 23rd century, serving a life sentence for mutiny on the Shenzhou! You know, if your brothers had just let me have a starship 900 years ago, it wouldn't have had to come to this.

What does God need with a starship?

That is growth for someone from the MU. They turn people into soup for not being good enough slaves. Plus I get the feeling that a lot of Georgiou's behavior is more a show than her honest reactions. She's acting like she's expected to behave, but she keeps slipping more and more as she spends more time with Prime humans. Just look at her interactions with the MIrror Saru, she shows kindness and understanding of him. He even points this out to her that it's unusual.
And it is great to see.

You're continued attempt to rationalize what he posted as if it's gospel truth even though you've already seen the episode. Even assuming that Carl is the Guardian of Forever taking on a different form, nothing done violates canon and I'm not sure how that's possible given the direction the story is going. It seems like it's going to end up being Georgiou having to decide between who she is now and who she used to be. It's more about her revelation that she has changed, something that every character has pointed out to her.
I have not seen the episode. Have you? Again, he flipped over PART 2.
Show me where I wrote that it's "gospel truth", or that it violates canon.

What I am saying is that the fact there is/may be a/the Guardian is immaterial. His argument was that the use of the Guardian motif is unconscionable, and must be met with extreme opposition or hostility. He was not just wrong, he was lying.

Sure, anything can happen. However, that's not the crux of Burnett's argument, is it? He argues, in his tweets, that the Guardian of Forever is sacrosanct--no series would dare to go there, except Discovery, and ruin it. He is basically claiming ownership of Star Trek that he really does not deserve.

I don't think RMB is objecting with Discovery using the GoF, he is objecting with HOW Discovery is using the GoF. Big difference. He does not like that Discovery changed the GoF from what it was in TOS.

Great episode. I’m always up for more MU debauchery.

Some questions:

- Will Jason Isaacs show up next week?

- Will the GoF pull another Edith and make Georgiou realize the only way forward is to kill Burnham as originally happened? Thus forever haunting Georgiou that she has to live with the evil part of her, but making her accept it as part of who she was so she can grow from it? That’s how I would write the story, anyways, lol.
