Could you live on the Delta Flyer?

Going by the size of the aft cabin (see here) do you think the Delta Flyer could be modified to have a small crew of about 4 live on it indefinitely?
Do we ever see the crew doing long missions on the Delta Flyer for several days or weeks?
Cheers.

I trust there would be a long line for that imaging chamber where you can at least sink yourself into the wall in total isolation for a while...

But yeah, people live on less for real. Just apply personal holotainment, hopefully with more variety than Ransom's systems, and you are all set. I can easily see four people just sitting around all day long, staring at nothing, until the computer rudely interrupts and tells them it's time to eat, defecate or dodge that Borg Cube.

It should certainly be possible, people have lived on less living (and less luxurious) area for a large part of their lives (think prisoners, monks in very strict orders that only live in their cells, etc.

Whether I could, I don't know; I need to be able to periodically get away from others being the strongly introverted person that I am. Perhaps I could adapt to such circumstances. Perhaps it would drive me mad. I wouldn't like to find out though :)

Half the size of the cockpit, add a head and reconfigure the aft section and I'd say it could probably be quite comfy for one or two people, a crew of four would be pushing it--after all it's not like it has the versatility of a Danube-Class runabout.

Depends on the people, and how well they got along. Tom and Harry or Miles and Julian might do Ok... B'Elanna and Seven might have serious issues. And Kira and Quark... the latter would likely get stuffed out the airlock.

Its possible, if they have their own personal holoentertainment (either like the headset and visual interface as seen in TNG’s “The Game” or like the synaptic stimulator that Captain Ransom had in “Equinox”), good reading material, an extensive movie database, and it is equipped with the slipstream drive to make for faster travel.

That's the only way I could see a crew of four - not related to each other - lasting for a couple of months together.

Gemini 7 lasted two weeks.

And winter takes quite a number of months in places. A family of four not stepping outside a two-room cabin that large might really be deemed to live in luxury. This without there being any "mission" involved, or any pay or other reward.

Volunteering certainly happens, too. Winnebagos generally involve stepping out every now and then; seagoing sailboats do not.

Is it possible the Delta Flyer "#2" had modifications to incorporate more living space? I would think making another one there's a chance to install things you didn't think of the first time around.

I don't know, I don't think I could hack it.

Even if its you and three of your mates, you'd have an argument at some point. And even though you all got along outside, you always knew that you could leave the room and be alone whenever you wanted. Plus, after a few weeks locked in a tin can together, things might start to smell a bit ripe.

Even the most extroverted person needs alone time. And besides which, the number one male pastime has been one that is done alone and in private.

One thing that always seems to be missing for the Flyer is just how they get on and off the ship in the first place, the plans and sets don't show any sort of access port.

I think in "MUSE", we saw Torres come in from the port side behind the back console. Granted, it was severely damaged, but it seemed like a regular entryway.
