In the break room today at work, I heard one of the managers having an argument...with Siri.

Have you told Alexa to go to red alert or fire photon torpedoes, you should
They probably knew ahead of time that they would run out of the free ones and the manager told them which one to substitute.Do you go back to the grocery store if they make a mistake in your favor?
Grocery store chain is giving out a free store brand turkey if your bill is $ or higher. Turns out they were out of those turkeys today but there was a lot of confusion because no one knew what they looked like. There wasn't even an empty spot where the free turkeys used to be and the signs for the offer were all over the place. Employee tells me these are the turkeys in the offer. When I go to check out, it of course is not the free turkey but the cashier overrides the price and gives it to me for free. This was a more expensive fresh turkey. Turns out the free one was supposed to be frozen.
I definitely wasn't the first customer to get the wrong turkey for free because I saw a bunch of other customers take that specific turkey up front, and I probably wasn't the last. Do I go back? Do they even care?

With God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!

A lot of turkeys don't make it through Thanksgiving.

I just had another example of a coincidental event today. I randomly decided to watch Godzilla: King of the Monsters this morning, and when I looked up the next Monsterverse movie, Godzilla vs Kong, it turned out it was originally supposed to come yesterday before it was pushed back to next year because of COVID-19.
Try telling Alexa to fire phasers.Have you told Alexa to go to red alert or fire photon torpedoes, you should
Try telling Alexa to fire phasers.
it's a corn silo, only one klingon and a plasma rifle and of course a 'farm boy'"You...you Klingons, back away from the garage or..."
Alexa: "repeat command...that does not compute."
I still don't comprehend what went down in the Discovery forum. The level of fanatical gatekeeping is insane.

If you take it back, they will have to throw it away, it can't be resold, so, to avoid needless waste just keep it.
