Spoilers Season 3 Episode 7 'Unification III' Promo

The original disk from the “IDIC” symbol was rather larger, in fact it was more or less the same diameter as the outline circle that can be seen in this new combined badge, which has been carefully positioned so that it passes through the centre of the top sphere and encompasses the other two.

I suspect the suggestion that the production’s intention is that three spheres now represent three planets, including Vulcan, is probably correct.

The TOS Romulan logo also had 3 blobs arranged like that... XD

Yeah, its broadly triangular, although it's got three straight-sided shapes rather than circles. It's possible they could be referencing that TOS symbol but I suspect it might be a bit obscure for them; it never had the traction that the TOS Klingon symbol attained and TNG pretty much replaced it.

The new badge pretty clearly has three spheres (or blobs or whatever...!), within the circle and triangle of the old IDIC symbol. Three planets (or at least three historical planets given that a couple of them no longer exist...) or maybe three cultures, now in one union...?

The success of season 2's 2 TOS "sequels" probably paved the way for this. It looks like we're getting another sequel later on too.

I DID say that the break with Canon was overstated, remember?

Georgiou and Culber chatting in sickbay has me all kinds of intrigued.
Mirror Georgiou: What did Kovich do to me?

Culber: The scans are clean. He didn't do anything to you. He used a psychological trick. He told you that your inherent antagonism was due to a gene found in Terrans. He foresaw that your need to prove him wrong would make you start feeling guilty about your past and turn a new leaf, using your own need to prove others wrong against you.

"Fried?"

"Yes fried. Served with a rich dipping sauce. You have calamari on your Earth? Very similar."
We're already producing artificially grown meat in the real world (albeit at an extremely high cost that's nowhere near cost effective for mass production).

Surely if Mirror Georgiou wanted to eat some Kelpien, Saru could program a replicator with his own DNA and let her eat it? I mean, it's not like an "actual" Kelpien will be killed...

I think that's their Biohazard symbol. ;)

Or an indication that this ship is of Klingon manufacture: the export-downrated variant has the claws of the classic Klingon symbol blunted...

...So, is Nilsson the new XO? She's no longer silver, but I can't really tell bronze and gold apart. The ship already has a high-ranking bronze engineer in Reno, so Nilsson is unlikely to be the so far mysterious CEO. Nilsson's uniform braid does look like those of Rhys, Owosekun, Bryce and Detmer, so presumably gold? Or bronze?
