Ya and is 16 her canon age because that means she was either very rapidly fast tracked on to that security team or was way too young to be sharing a room with Grey.
So it seems. And one of the reasons some of us think it would be better if she was older.

And now that scavenging is one of the few viable options for survival and given the relative stupidity of said scavengers the Pacleds must be absolute gods in this century
And we already know the Pakleds were on the rise by the late 24th century...I want to see a Pakled empire as the new big bads now!

Sure? But what does stasis have to do with it? I'm talking about his natural lifespan. We have zero information about how long he would have lived if it weren't for his "romantic complication". Lela lived to 114, but again we have no info about if it was from old age or some other factor.

What I mean is that according to your implied criteria, nobody ever dies from natural causes. All people are guilty of doing some things in excess once in a while... That's natural.

sounds like a very popular argument of today.

Yeah, a virus doesn’t directly kill you, it’s oxygen not reaching your brain that does.

There isn't as many Enterprises to stop them this time either and judging by the poor fighting style of those Trill the 32nd century has forgotten the crucial double fist punch

And seemed to put a very localised hole in the hull right at their bedroom window
Effects like that are one of those things I have to give a pass to sci fi shows. Sure Gravity and Interstellar did a great job showing spaceflight, velocity differences, etc, but audiences used to Star Wars and Star Trek are still not ready of it, visually. Photon torpedos must casually loaf along slower than a golf cart, X-wings must battle Tie fighters like World War I biplanes at similar velocities.

There is no way of knowing where that window was located on the ship, so it appears like it broadsided them, which means they should have seen it for a very long time as it was on a similar velocity and trajectory to hit like that. If it hit their bow, someone was asleep at the wheel and apparently asleep and their radar didn't work. If it hit them astern.. ok I got nothing.

Obviously. I didn't mean to imply otherwise, we all die due to something happening. But my point is that how Curzon died gives us zero information regarding what the average lifespan of his species is.

Sounds like you’re asking for a more one dimensional character in Georgiou. Her duality, the utter ruthlessness mixed with some compassion, is what makes her interesting to me. She’d be a lot less compelling as totally evil or totally good.

Not at all, i would love it if they wrote her as a bad person slowly learning that the constant hatred and fear of the mirrorverse isnt needed in the world she is in now, struggling with her past self and with adapting to the primeverse, slowly becoming a better person.
But i feel like thats not where they are going with her

They are going nowhere with her she is just sassy panto evil villain

Maybe
Marcos Inaros is working with the Romulans and has cloaked asteroids now

I wonder if we'll maybe see Tal show up on Picard at some point? It's also certainly possible that Tal could have known Spock, I wonder if that will play into the Unification 3 episode? I'm really looking forward to that episode, and this episode makes me look forward to it more :)

It would be cool if the guy in the PIC uniform made a little background appearance in season 2

But ide rather he not be involved in any small universe stories

But all Burnham knows of Spock is a young science officer so it would be nice for Adira to not know Spock but recognise him is the famous Starfleet officer

Any particular reason why?
Because we have had way too much of that already especially with Spock . I was terrified that that trill was gonna be Dax so having it be some hero Trill that happened to be buddies with Burnham's brother sounds just as bad. Not everyone needs to know everyone or be special and I would rather this Trill have had it's own life unconnected to anything else.

If TNG was made now Picard would be Kirk's son and Data would have Chekhov's memories while Crusher was married to McCoy

Anything sounds silly if you take it too far. You're right, Tal doesn't need to be buddies with Spock, being alive at the time ensures that he'll know all of Starfleet's greats. I'm expecting Unification 3 to reveal that Spock is now almost mythological, the Surak of the unified Vulcan and Romulan people, who one day disappeared, maybe promising to return.

Who has a life that's unconnected to anything else? We have a new character who has been alive through most of the DSC crew's "gap", with several Starfleet careers under their belt. Tal's perspective will be invaluable to the crew, and those past lives are a gold mine of stories. The first time anyone on the ship mentions Spock, Tal will recognise the name, that's a given. Tal is now the longest-serving Starfleet officer on the ship, even if Adira hasn't been sworn in yet.
