The season better end with Riker saving them. Keep the tradition going.
Just imagine how powerful the Pakleds will be by this time? No wonder the Federation failed.

They always end the season with a Nahn-Disclosure Agreement, so...

"We shall not talk about...the Spore Drive. Agreed?"

I don't care how the season ends as long as they actually stick the landing this time.

Well, Michelle Paradise made it to the end of the season without being shitcanned, so they have no excuse at all this time if they can't put together an arc that pans out.

Here's a secret: it doesn't really drop at 3:00am. More like just after 2:00am.

A month or two ago, I would've been able watch it at 2:00am without a problem. But now I'm back to a pre-Covid work schedule again. So now it's not such a good idea.

But you know me. "Not such a good idea" doesn't mean I won't try. ;)
So I need some Lord Garth enthusiasm. Some post with the hours, minutes and seconds til you wlll be watching, crazy theories, how you felt when they left us with this bitch of a cliffhanger. Something, dude. :)

Episode 2 is...
...quite boring :(
Oh, so it's like regular Star Trek then...

I like her vulnerability, which is how she should present, strong person or not, being a stranger in a new time and world.
Agreed. It was a really good scene.

EDIT: And while I'm not a "shipper" person, that one minute between those two rang more real to me than all of her interactions with Ash Tyler. So if they decide to go down that route I'm all for it.

Kids, my 2019 human-nature prediction was right on track: #StarTrekDiscovery
S3 finally looks really comfortable in its own skin, everyone shines and gets a moment (or more)... the ST Universe is *used*... and StarTrek/Starfleet shines throughout.

"Such Sweet Sorrow" kicked ass and took names. Part I is the emotional core of the season. If anyone has to ask why, they wouldn't understand. And Part II is something that sends the season out with a bang. Literally. I feel like I could play this on the 4th of July. Some great fireworks. Just got finished re-watching it right now.

Usually, episodes drop seven minutes passed 2:00 (I began to pick up on this after a while), so it's 11:47pm Eastern as I type this... which means 2 hours and 20 minutes to go!

Theories about Season 3? I've got some here in this thread of mine, the rewatch leading up to Season 3.

Cutting and pasting the stuff relevant to this new season....
In "New Eden", Tilly tries to figure out how to make the Spore Drive possible to be operated without Stamets. I think this is something they'll continue to try to do in the third season with 32nd Century technology, so other people will be able to operate it if necessary. Or just have it be operated through Discovery's computer. I think the data scrolls from an "An Obol for Charon" will be harnessed through however Discovery's computer is upgraded, which will allow it to operate the Spore Drive. But that's only speculation. It could be wrong.
Gabrielle Burnham is tethered to The Future. Since there's life in The Future in Season 3, it's possible there's a version of her there. So I think we'll see Gabrielle at some point in the third season or beyond.
And those are our starters.

I give my detailed reviews for the first season earlier in the thread but only quick-takes on the second season, due to lack of time. But it's all fresh in my mind now and right in time.
