Oh my looks like they have gone all out on the effects! Discovery looks absolutely beautiful in some of those scenes.

Lower Decks has been dropping at Midnight Pacific too. So I think it's a permanent change.
Technically, they've been posting the episodes between 11:10 PM and 11:20 PM Pacific Time on Wednesday nights. It's been fun being able to stay up late watching Star Trek, and they've been doing this since Picard.

I'm calling it now: Because of how dense the plotting is, it's going to take me twice as long to watch an average episode of Discovery than it did Lower Decks.
If history is any guide, I expect Discovery to have about half as much plot as Lower Decks.
It will only feel like an eternity.
