Does the Enterprise still pick up Kes and/or Neelix?
Why not? Though maybe they're like Guinan and Ogawa – occasional guest-stars. I'm also seeing them very different. Neelix less annoying. Still funny, but half as a coping mechanism from the horror he escaped. Half a step closer to Wixiban.Does the Enterprise still pick up Kes and/or Neelix?
She "beats up" The Rock, not fights.I guess after Beverly fights the Rock, they have to fire up the Enterprise's EMH to get her collarbone out of her ear.
EMH: "Please state the nature of the HOLY CRAP HOW ARE YOU EVEN STILL ALIVE?!!"

Kes maybe in a rivalry episode with Ogawa in a followup to TNG's "Lower Decks." Maybe Ogawa feels the new girl is getting fast where it took her years (maybe on account of Ocampans' shorter lifespan they learn faster), maybe she's even talking to her fiancé-to-be Andrew(!) and Ogawa's having none of it at the weekly card game with Lavelle & Co. Come to think of it...Taurik v. Vorik!
I don't know if Picard would be the one to help her on that journey. At times I wondered if it would have been Janeway's in another setting. But maybe. He did help Data. I wonder if there would be any sexual tension as with Kamala if not in the same way.Would be interesting to see Kes/Troi interactions then, i guess the task of helping Kes develop her powers would fall to her.
I agree with making Neelix a guest star, but I do think Kes is interesting enough of a character to make her a main character, especially in the hands of the TNG writers.
Plus with her in the catsuits, they could give Troi a standard uniform.
Seven will also be interesting if she comes on board, especially her and Picard's relationship.
Picard would be looking for tea in nebulas. Other than that, same as Voyager,![]()
How would the Enterprise survive without all those ancient Maquis tricks
The Enterprise and the Kazon will be as effective as the writers need them to be.He might not have had to. The Enterprise was larger, more powerful, and had more photon torpedoes. It might have sent the Kazon fleeing with their tails between their legs, which would have allowed a more thorough examination of the Caretaker tech. Voyager destroyed the array because the Kazon were present and shooting at them, and there was no time to figure out a better solution.
No Torres old Maquis tricks that got them out of every jamDo you mean Chekotay's "ancient rituals" that were really made up by a bunch of white writers and a conman?
I think Picard can survive without finding his animal companion![]()
How would the Enterprise survive without all those ancient Maquis tricks
Are we talking "the Enterprise gets sucked into the Delta Quadrant alone?" Or "the Enterprise and some Maquis get sucked into the Delta Quadrant"?
If the Enterprise would have been thrown into the Delta quadrant it would not have taken 7 years to get back. Picard would have had the Caretaker array destroyed by a timebomb or remotely after it would have returned Enterprise to the Alpha quadrant.![]()
The Enterprise can SPLIT IN TWO.
Picard sends Riker to the caretaker array while putting most of the ship's children, civilians, whatever in the star drive section under Troi's command. Riker fires up the Caretaker's array and sends the saucer section home. Of the ship's 1000 personnel, 900 or so are safe.
Joking aside, I'm not sure he would have blown up the Array -- after all, it is of course heavily interfering with the DQ state of affairs, no matter how noble the goal of protecting the Ocampa. (But not saying he wouldn't have blown it up either).
