I think Boimler got the wrong idea when the two nurses called dibs on him. When it was revealed he was no longer a "freak" they immediately became disinterested. We all know what Boimler was thinking but I think they just really enjoy caring for outcasts and scientific curiosity. Or else The Farm is staffed by some weirdos that regularly make serious ethical violations.

I wonder how the guy who was just a giant lumpy head is able to propel himself around?

This one was pretty fun. The crazy shit Tendi's dog kept doing was pretty funny.
The stuff with Mariner and her friend gave us some nice character development for her.
All of the crazy accident victims were pretty good.
I loved that after everything that happened on the Department 14 ship, it turned out The Farm was real at the end, I actually was not expecting that.
We've now gotten both a Catian, and an Edosian on Lower Decks, which is a nice callback to the original Animated Series.

I wish I knew the species of the security officer with the Jaylah-like facial tattooing. At first I thought we'd seen his species before. A moment ago I thought: Khreetassian from ENT? But no, they had facial pockets and ridges and the LD officer has just facial coloration and tattooing.

I thought we decided he was probably Rigelian.

Not strictly canon, but Ensign Alans was played by a 44-year-old.

We have something close to an upper bound. Mariner was an Ensign on the Quito in what we may assume is an early assignment prior to her first demotion (and thus her first promotion). If we assume it's 2373 at the earliest, and she was an Ensign for a year at most, that would imply for a 2350 birth at the earliest (~30 years old). Making Mariner's friend close to Riker (c. 2364) in advancement.

But I still think she's a little younger, because six years on the Quito seems a bit much, unless she was demoted from Lt. Commander or something.

In Second Contact, Mariner explained that she knew the farmers because she was on the Quito last year when it made first contact before she got her ass demoted to the Cerritos. (I suppose it's feasible she has done more than one stint on the Quito.) Don't know what that means for your calculations, but she was therefore on the Ceritos in 2379.

Watching this now. I love The Dog. Which is kind of funny, because I was afraid of dogs for a long time after my pet dog rough-housed with me when I was 4, wrapped his chain around me, pounced on me, got carried away, and started barking while I was scared for my life. Everything seems "more so" when you're 4. So I could completely relate when The Dog became scary. The rest of the time, The Dog is nice. So I get a kick out of the duality.

Love how the Guest Captain is actually one of Mariner's friends.

Now to see how the rest of this goes.

Mariner's a total fuck up on this Away Mission. She's making the Guest Captain look really bad. ;)
There's that, but more like she's looking like a total n00b and making everybody on her friend's staff wonder why she's "Still an Ensign", and even wonder why she's even in StarFleet and how the eff did she even graduate StarFleet Academy.

Give it a 9, laughed alot, good pacing.
It leaned into to much complete parody with the trio of Captain Pike chairs for me..
And another California Class up in.. smoke.. or alien goo.. :vulcan:
BEEP!
