    No opening?
Vancouver is Parliament Class, it has 9 saucer decks and a huge shuttlebay
    "Q on Picard Day" XD
Phylosian mentioned as part of Cerritos crew
Kirk sundae with Trip Tucker sprinkles XD
Salt succubus and Edo brought up as examples XD
    D S 9 ! ! ! and the Olympic Class Quito

    FC uniforms!!
Data and Lore teaming up with the Borg!
Barb ruled out as Dauphin (Allasomorph would be correct), but could be a Cardassian spy, transporter clone, a Suliban or Reptoid! Pre-choice Lal and two Bynars are also on the conspiracy wall! And she thinks Mariner is a Breen! XD
The murder screaming ambassador is hilarious considering recent posts here XD
Vancouver calibrated a Dyson sphere and went back in time to kill someone worse than AH

And next week: NCC-502, apparently from TOS, where they had clamshell communicators, probably with a character from that time?!

They show us DS9 and Quark’s Bar but can’t even give us an appearance by Quark or Morn?

If Stardates mean anything, (and they typically don't) Episode 1.5 is 2 months to the day since Tendi arrived on Cerritos. Bradward probably picked up both the parasite and Barbara on Vendu between Episode 1.3 and Episode 1.4, so that little green googa might retroactively excuse him for spilling a hot drink on Ransom like a tightly wound idiot in 'Moist Vessel'.
It's not much to go on, but Kula and Sqill may be Cerritos crew, and there's an Andorian Ensign named Jennifer.
The lone moon jerk putting lives at risk because he can't be bothered to move reminds me of Mullibok from 'Progress' and I appreciate the reversal.
I think we can conclude from Mariner's referring to an allasomorph as a dauphin that Picard must have used that term in his log, and not that Mariner knows the TITLES of Next Generation adventures...? Or DOES she...?
Also, what was Mariner's Bynar theory? Did she think Barb might be two Bynars in a big coat?

I think Boimler got away with spilling that coffee for two reasons:

    1. It was an accident (apparently, even if Boimler planned it). Ransom would have to be downright evil to punish Boimler for that.

    2. The ship was almost immediately destroyed by life-creating spore things, so Ransom probably forgot the whole thing, or maybe he remembered it at the end of the day when folding his laundry, but just shrugged it off.

It didn't look like Quark's, they seemed to be on the Quito.

He sent Mariner to the brig for rolling up her sleeves XD

    They're in-universe TOS/TNG fans, which actually makes sense ;)

Much like the California Class, I'm not sure were the Shuttlebay doors are.

I mean, I think that's how I would be in universe. It's no weirder than some of the history buffs I know who obsessed over historical figures like Lincoln.

Yeah, I'd imagine Starfleet is rife with fanboys of Kirk, Picard and other legendary captains. Like the guy Nog knows who takes pictures of himself behind famous captains desks, or Captain Martinez in Shield of Tomorrow.

Was talking about episode 5 to someone in real life who even pointed out in the DS9 flashback scene, Mariner's hairstyle even looks like something from the 1990s.

Are we sure that was DS9? Could’ve been any station along the border.

How many Cardassian designed Nor stations are there on the border?

Who knows? It also could’ve been in Cardassian space.

In any case it's a nod to DS9.

I’m sure it is. Just not sure if it is supposed to be the actual station. :p

Considering how referency/fan servicy the show is, if it wasn't DS9 I'd be very surprised.

Which other former mining station is operated by Starfleet?

Interestingly, in the (237x?) flashback we see the First Contact uniform full with the Generations commbadge, the first indication that LD’s plainer one is not just an artistic license but is meant to be a real commbadge change. Problem is: in Picard we see the Generations one still in service in 2385, meaning they switched to the LD one around 2380, kept it for a few years only, switched back to the previous one and then, sometime before 2399, moved to the Picard design!

That is, unless you go with my unified uniforms theory that I’ll post one of these days...

It always seemed to me that Terok Nor and Empok Nor were the only stations of their type. If not, why did it seem like Empok Nor was the only place they could get parts for DS9 outside of replicating them? I think DS9/Terok Nor is a sus generis design, with Empok Nor being a prototype or proof-of-concept (even though it used the same studio model as DS9) that was later repurposed for shady Cardassian stuff before being abandoned.

The rest were full of Cardassians who were current Dominion allies that the Federation was at war with?

Maybe the Cerritos and Vancouver are part of a special detachment? Who knows?
