Hawkman was originally a Kryptonian in his first life thousands of years ago.
I just went back and read it--the answer that both are true.I recall one of his past lives being a Kryptonian (Catar-Ol), but not his first life.
One thing I'm disappointed about is that the classic Milestone material will be made available again over the coming months digitally, but so far nothing in print. I really want those Icon and Static collections.
On the subject of crossovers, if you haven’t read it, I’d highly recommend the Superman Gen Thirteen crossover. It’s delightful and hilarious, and the interaction between Superman and the Gen 13 kids yields great character dividends (he’s troubled that they think him a boring square, even as they quickly learn how wrong they are). It’s one of my favorite Superman obscurities.I'd like to see DC collect the Worlds Collide crossover between the Milestone titles and the Superman titles from twenty-five years ago. I was not able to get all of it at the time; the Milestone titles weren't big sellers, so my local shop didn't order very many of them.

December Solits are out. Couple of points:
- Endless Winter is a crossover between Justice League, Aquaman, The Flash, Justice League Dark, with special one-shot specials for Superman, Teen Titans and Black Adam, with a 2-issue "Endless Winter" mini-series to book-end the event. I'm a fan of these quick events. They not always have the best plot, but they keep the momentum going.
- Bendis ends his run on the Superman titles. Guess we could expect his successor(s) to be announced during Day 2 of the DC Fandome this weekend? Also, with YJ ending in November, the only book Bendis will stick around for is LoSH, but we should expect him to do another title soon. Guess, after all those crossover tie-ins, Justice League needs a new regular writer? Well, keeping my eye on the DC Fandome on that as well.
- Nightwing is finally back to Dick Grayson?! Well, well, well. Maybe giving my support to that by picking up that issue.
Probably listed under the "COVID" months names.Does any one know why October and November aren't listed in the previous 6 months?
So Superman is saved? That's good to hear. Now that Bendis is leaving in December, do we give it a year before Superman finds a way to regain his secret identity?
December's line up looks pretty good. I'm going to have to contact my LCS to get the Black Lable Hellblazer. Is it more in line with the old Vertigo version of the character?
He’s only good with street level heroes and characters he created. Can't say I'll miss Bendis. His writing is very scattershot.
Well, it looks like I'll be dropping my last DC ongoing (The Flash). I'm not reading anymore damn crossovers, especially not one connected to Scott Snyder's crap.
I liked the last ongoing before the writer got fucked over for that atrcious "Rick Grayson" crap, so I might check this out, if its not by the "Rick Grayson" writer.
