Is the music when the ensign with the android eye looks into the Jeffreys tube the clearing the space doors music from the scene when the Enterprise escapes the Excelsior?

Like comes from Star Trek III. Scott quotes eight week timetable to return the Enterprise to service, then whittles it down to two almost immediately.

Since Scott is an alcoholic, we know he has to figure in drinking and sobering up time into any repair estimate. :techman:

SCOTT: Aye, that's a two scotch problem.
    KIRK: Two glasses?
    SCOTT: Two bottles.

The Andorians we see last week in Envoys still carried around with the the ceremonial bladed weapons, and wielded them in the bar fight. So if 24th century Andorians still carry bladed weapons around with them for personal defense, I doubt they've abandoned their ceremonial combat rituals either.

Is Boimler a Catullan or part-Catullan like The Original Series’ Tongo Rad?

I guess because of the purple hair.

Personally, I think it's just an artistic choice and not an indicator that he isn't fully human.

A fair enyi hadn't even noticed his hair was purple. I think purple hair is just a cartoon think and has no meaning

But knowing how much of a Trek Nerd, Mike McMahan really is, it's not entirely out of the question.
So far, none of the other characters (except the obvious Alien ones) have strange colored hair.
And one does have to consider the overwhelming amount of Trek Easter Eggs we've already become aware of.

I agree that it wouldn't surprise me all that much if they mentioned he was half-Catullan as a throwaway joke at some point. But I'd still be convinced the real-world reason for his purple hair was that they just like how it looks.

I don't think the biggest nod has been mentioned yet: "Star Trek" listed in the opening credits which appears twice.

Is your avatar an actual TAS character or is it Tendi drawn to look that way?

Very similar tool design that Kevin Uxbridge is using. Or the shovels in ‘Captain’s Holiday’?

No, while it would be cool if they had an Orion woman as part of the crew in The Animated Series, this is just something I did in Photoshop. :)

Good eye! Yes, I used an image of Chapel as the base and the design of Devna as a guide for the skin color.

Looking at screenshots over at Trekcore, I can only find this tool in “The Survivors”, which later reappears in “Silicon Avatar”. The shovels in “Captain's Holiday” do look similar, that's right. But I thougt I remembered an episode with tools that matched those from “Second Contact” even closer.
