DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

^ I know what the phrase "hand over the reins" means and don't believe it applies here based on what we currently know.

Pattinson is going to be Batman for the foreseeable future regardless of what this Flash movie does, and all current indicators are that the universe his version of the character occupies will exist alongside the continuity of the DCEU.

The words “all current indicators” are doing a lot of heavy lifting here, given that we know next to nothing about the series’ long-term plans but we’ll find out in due course.

The Suicide Squad cast is wild. I didn't know that Peter Capaldi, Idris Elba and John Cena were in the movie as characters (who knows how long they'll survive, but still). There are definitely some obvious cannon fodder (polka Dot Man), but I bet that the movie is going to have some surprises when it comes to deaths.

I've never even heard of most of the new characters from The Suicide Squad. I know Thinker because he was one of the Big Bads on The Flash, and I've heard references to Polka Dot Man, but that's it.
It's nice to finally get to see the transformed Cheetah in action in the new WW84 trailer.

Wow, they're really going for authenticity in the costume/character designs. The usual DCEU aesthetic has been to make the costumes more functional and detailed and armor-like and all that, but these are practically exact recreations of even the silliest-looking characters.

Not that it wasn't already pretty much obvious, but Hamada confirmed during a multiverse panel that Reeves is building a separate universe in The Batman.

So The Flash might not be the last we see of Batfleck...

The Batman existing alongside the DCEU isn't an automatic indicator as to the character's future within that continuity (the DCEU).

Seeing David Dastmalchian and Michael Rooker in video and panel for The Suicide Squad got me wondering how many actors have done both the MCU and the DCEU. I know there have been a few others, but I'm drawing a blank beyond those two.
For those unaware or who have maybe forgotten, Michael Rooker was Yondu in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, and Dastmalchian was Kurt in the Ant-Man.

Dastmalchian was also in The Dark Knight, though it’s not DCEU.

Djimon Hinsou was in GOTG, Captain Marvel and Shazam. Nathan Fillion has a cameo in GOTG & is in The Suicide Squad. JK Simmons was Gordon in JL & reprised his J. Jonah Jameson role in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
