This episode was fun enough... though it was my least favorite episode so far. I'd rather they find humor without making the crew a bunch of incompetents.

I watch with Amazon Prime which apparently put up last week's episode again for this week.

Yeah, that was annoying. It's fixed now, though.

This week’s episode fell flat for me. It had some decent laughs, and once again Mariner gets all the great lines. But the message of the entire episode about rules is muddled, especially for a pseudo-military outfit.

It felt like they were going for some commentary on the stupidity of being overly productive and the workplace pressure to constantly hustle/perform, but it just didn’t land. Too bad, because there is something to be said about having downtime and how it’s beneficial. And how working yourself to death is terrible for your well being.

Of course, like TNG, LOWER DECKS is more office/workplace drama/comedy than space military drama like TOS.
which is good, the fleet is not supposed to be a military organization, it is a diplomatic, exploration and scientific research organization and defense is secondary.

Well, holy shit! Might as well just make rumors about canceling the show because she's a woman AND black. Oh, better say Kurtzman is fired too. Just to be sure.
I have it on good authority (somewhere in the "chan" part of the internet) that Lower Decks was pre-cancelled in 2008, but in a face saving move, eight seasons have been ordered, while Kurtzman is being promoted in a disciplinary action, becoming head of Paramount programming. We will be saved from Mary Sues!

He held back Bashir from trying to take down Section 31, which allowed Bashir to bring back the cure for the Changeling's disease. Subsequently, Odo was able to heal the Female Changeling, who then ordered the Jem'hadar to stand down, rather than slaughter the Cardassian population.
I don’t think that would be on the record. Certainly not statue worthy.
Maybe Discovery will answer it

If you need to take things literally and factual, we could simply have seen a secluded sect that worships O'Brien.
