Yes to Mayday Parker. A resounding no to more Tobey Maguire.
I would normally make fun of Sony for their Spider-decisions, but somehow they got a lot of people to go see Venom. And worse yet, a lot of those people say they liked it!![]()
Sorry to rain on your parade, but I liked it. Even more than some MCU movies.
Yeah, despite my optimism about a potential Jackpot movie, she is really, really bizarre choice for a movie lead, when they have characters like Silk, Spider-Gwen, and Spider-Woman (maybe) at their disposal. I know Silk isn't real well know outside of comic readers, but she's at least a more prominent character than Jackpot.Venom, at least, had history and a fan base. Venom was quite popular back in the 90s. Some of these characters Sony's queuing up are absolutely unknowns.
I'm glad you liked it. Wish I could say the same.Sorry to rain on your parade, but I liked it.
I finally got around to watching it just a few months back. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but also nothing particularly special. Feels like a throwback to the early 2000's superhero movies, playing lip service at being an anti-hero movie. For what it's worth I'll probably never watch it again but I may check out the sequel.I still haven't bothered despite Tom Hardy and Riz Ahmed.
I remember seeing her name mentioned, but I didn't realize a movie was actually in the works.
(but believed to be Spider-Woman):
My guess is it'll be Spider-Gwen rather than Jessica Drew.
