How many of them other than O'Brien have anything other than an extra somewhere in the background?
You see a lot of them in TNG with the rank of “crewmen”. There was even a episode called Drumhead I think that goes into what is the difference between them and officers.

I just think being a officer should at least give you quarters. Even if you have to share with someone.

8.

I haven’t had this much fun with Trek in a long time.

Agree. I love that it loves being Star Trek, and does so unabashedly. The franchise couldn’t sustain itself on this alone, but it’s a nice leavening of the streaming Trek shows. So far I haven’t been convinced by serialization, and it’s nice to have some episodic silliness.

I thought the old-school Ferengi was very funny — especially the greedy hand motions gag.

Why did the guy in sick bay say "thank god" at the end? He was Bajoran, shouldn't he thank the Prophets? One of the few slip ups.

This goes back to at least DS9 "The Alternate":

Dr. Mora Pol: "I've done it to you again, haven't I, Odo? Made you a prisoner? Dear God, what have I done?"

For all we know, mainstream Bajorans have at least one God in addition to having Prophets. Prophets aren't Gods, as the separate terminology attests - and no character actually likens them to such, unless alien to the faith and/or simplifying things to those alien to the faith.

It's the UT acting up again. The guy really said some ancient colloquial prayer praising the Prophets and wishing good will on her d'jarra and that the Kai should bless the ship and so on and so on, but the UT just spit out "Thank God".
