The spoiler-riffic end scene with all the rapid-fire namedrops if anyone wants to see, get it before it's taken down.
Uh, that was Mariner's program. Boimler had already left the room.![]()
General Order 5: In cases of extreme emergency, Federation special representatives are empowered to deal with a condition or circumstance that is deemed hazardous to the welfare of Federation citizenry. Within the scope of these emergency powers, duly authorized civilian personnel may assume temporary command of Starfleet vessels and/or personnel to deal with the emergency. Starfleet personnel must submit to their authority for the duration of the crisis.
Good thing this isn’t real life then. We’ve seen trek characters in the past act similarly to other characters.

Crewman 6, calm your load. If you are going to post your opinions, stop getting butt hurt if people disagree with you. I actually enjoyed the show. I went into seeing the episode as exactly as it was, a comedic take on Star Trek. While the dialogue did go warp speed, it was a very unique take in the story and ended very Trek like.
- Douglas Station looks alot like old Earth Spacedock... but isn't Spacedock. I wonder what the scale is, if it can be determined by the starship sizes (probably much bigger than Spacedock).
- The third chair appears to be for the CMO to have a spot on the bridge, or perhaps is an auxiliary chair (maybe that's it's use in general, and Picard favored his Counselor). Freeman might favor having T'Ana around much like Kirk and McCoy.
- I'm not sure how I feel about the "Created by..." credits in the new shows. DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise never had them, even though they perhaps should have. It just seems... I don't know.
There's never been anything remotely like a scene in which one character simply screams a random laundry list of "famous" people at another character asking if he's "heard of them" for no reason.
Not even close.
There was a lot of swooning over Cochran in First Contact.
I don’t see the differenceSome characters meeting a famous person in history, who's the foundation of their entire civilization, is a lot different than a character just shouting out a chain of names in rapid fire. (Inclding Gary Mitchel.)
I don’t see the difference
Really.
Really?!
You don't see the difference between a group of characters traveling back in time and meeting the founder of their entire way of life, and a character just shouting out a string of character names and events completely out of the thin blue sky?
It was several Borg vessel coming in. "The needs of the many..." and all.
I'm sure plenty of "weak" ships were at Wolf 359. But, hey it's "funny" to see a Federation vessel just turning around out of a Borg battle knowing what a serious threat they are.
Oh and her string of fan-service references she mentions Troi switching from the bunny suit to the uniform. Because, you know, I'm sure that was a noteworthy event in Federation history that made it into the history books for her to learn about.

Yes, the other shows had creator credits.
they did.
DS9 created by Berman/Piller
VOY created by Berman/Piller/Taylor
ENT created by Berman/Braga

Please stick to discussing the show and the episode, not the posters and their motivations. There's no reason to get personal.
BTW, Mariner it not the product of a broken home, you read that wrong.

We don't need any of that in here. Stick to discussing the show. Personal attacks won't get you very far.
