As soon as I'm done, she will! LOL!She needs to moooooooooove.
Thank you Tallguy! Yeah, I've got to work on the textures next. Hopefully that will help.Very nice. But something about the lighting or the surfacing makes it look smaller than 11 feet. Hmmm.
And I love that Delta Vega shot too.
Thank you for the supreme compliment, my friend! You made me laugh out loud!Oh now you're just showing off. Some of these look like you composited those old production stills onto a black background. You've managed to get the camera angles, focal length, etc. spot-on. And I agree with @Tallguy, that Delta Vega shot is cool beans.

That is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said about my work. Thank you, Lord Other!Very nicely done. The Big E looks as if she could be composited and dropped right into frame above Delta Vega. Beautiful!
Thank you, Santaman. That's very kind of you! That is just gorgeous. Also the quality of the model is really great, very sharp and crisp looking, really nice work.
Thank you, Atolm! That's very nice of you!Hot Damn!
LOL! Yeah, it's called the Default Cube! LOL!Professor, have you joined the Blender side yet? I hear the next version will have a "Make art like Scifieric" button. It might even be in the beta release.

Thank you, BillJ! You are very kind!Awesome work on the old girl, @scifieric.
That made me LAAAAUUUGH! (The Space Cow, not the surgery ...) I hope Mister Professor Moriarty is doing better now!LOL
I actually started down the Cinema 4D path; OctaneRender s support for C4D is better than its Blender implementation. Then the world went a little sideways, Mister Professor Moriarty has his surgery, I had to put on my Nurse Chapel uniform for a couple of months, yada yada yada... long story short I’m holding off on doing anything drastic until I finish this project.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program. Make it moooooooove, @scifieric! (imagine a space cow mooing when you read that last sentence.)
One frame from one element of a test animation with my 2nd Pilot USS Enterprise. I'm moderately happy with how it is turning out. I may have to come up with a new method. I have a couple of ideas in mind.Make it moooooooove, @scifieric! (imagine a space cow mooing when you read that last sentence.)
Quite fascinating how close you are able to match the look on the show. Awesome job, @scifieric!One frame from one element of a test animation with my 2nd Pilot USS Enterprise. All done in Blender 3D and Photoshop.

Thank you, Santaman! I'm keeping my end goal in mind.Does look the part, and I know you want to get as close to what it looked like on TV but to see it with film grain etc is a tad strange compared to the other renders which were ultra sharp.. but as usual great work.![]()
Thank you very much, Michael! That's very kind of you!Quite fascinating how close you are able to match the look on the show. Awesome job, @scifieric!
