Just wanted to let people know that we released our latest short film, A Treasure for the Ages," late last night. As always, these films are never perfect and this one's no exception, but hopefully some of you will find something to enjoy. Our thanks to everyone who takes the time to watch.

Getting your film out there to share with the world is always an enormously wonderful achievement. These are such a labor of love and my hats off to you and your team. Quite an enjoyable production and thanks for sharing!
So, watched it. I feels different than most of your previous works. It feels less confined, like the number of wider shots is bigger. I also suspect you directing it gives it a different feel. I honestly had a bit of trouble understanding the V.O. at the beginning because the music was loud. But then I have some hearing loss so maybe that's just me. I'm curious what sort of filter you used in the scene on the sailing ship, because it does this black halo-ing thing around overdriven lights characteristic of 1950s video.
I liked it (I didn't see the episode it was a sequel of sorts to, so I probably missed a lot of nods and some subtext.) - I thought the sonic screwdriver bit was cute. - As always your teams use of locations is good; including the library you filmed in. I thought it was a nice little character piece for the most part the sound levels and mixing were good, the actors did fine and the actors voices could be heard (although for me as an 'ugly American' I have to rewind at times to get what they are actually saying through their various accents - but that's on me - not on your actors they delivered lines well and were clear. And I'm sure most of your European fans are going - "What accents??")

I don’t know if my direction made much difference to be honest. I didn’t really do a good job there, and one thing I did learn was that direction isn’t really my bag. At least not when I’m also acting. I just didn’t give it the attention it needed, which was a problem more than once. The more open feel might be down to Steve’s handheld camera work, and possibly my choice of shots when I was cutting. Re the opening narration and mix, I’m not sure actually, it sounds okay to my ear but I’m not a good judge of these things. I’d need to check the project file re the filter, but it was a mix of different things to get a look I sort of liked. I was going for a sort of “not quite there”, slightly ghostly look. Not sure I achieved what I was going for. It’s kind of a mishmash to be honest. Glad you liked it, and the sonic gag. I was quite fond of that gag, maybe a little obvious but it was fun to play with. There is no prequel to this film, by the way. It’s a stand-alone. I possibly could have done more to make that obvious though. We are remarkably lucky at some of the locations we get to use. The Discovery team didn’t charge us a penny to use the ship. They were really, really gracious, and seem genuinely excited about the film. Yeah accents are always an issue, but that’s okay. I was quite taken by it--nice character moments, great locations (your terrain is very like the Kentucky Appalachians I grew up in), an engaging story, everything. My favorite Intrepid voyage. Sir Rhosis
Nicely done! What impresses me most is what's NOT there: the production glitches that can take me out of the moment. That's not a backhanded compliment in any way. There are so many things that can happen or where a story can fall short. It's obvious you've worked hard to learn the craft and avoid those big mistakes. Growth and improvement is one of the things that I enjoy seeing in the longer running productions (and conversely most disappointing not to see). The accents are a bit hard to follow for some of us Yanks, but I think there's a universal translator gag waiting to be exploited somewhere along the line. Keep going!

It's nice to see a group that's done a number of films and shows progressive improvement. There are some (I shan't name names) whose films are always full of the same mistakes film after film with no lessons learned.
Took me a bit to get around to watching this. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the concept and the personal story for Hunter. Well done!
Just wanted to say thank you again to everyone who has taken the time to watch our latest film and to comment. The feedback so far has been lovely, and the response to the film itself has been pretty positive. We know we’re not pros, and these films always have issues, but I like to think we try hard to at least tell interesting stories and of late are working hard to try and avoid some of the usual pitfalls.
