In my humble opinion you have a unique ability to blend message with story.
Diversity, communication, culture and the challenge to transverse the gap is an intrepid mission.
A quarter century ago, suffering empty nest and requiring time to deal with it. I took a trip from the great North West to the deep South East for some alone time and a good book. I found a place near the lake, sat under a tree and was really getting into the book when all of a sudden a thump landed right next to me. It was one of those old Army bags and it's wiggling with a green tail sticking out, slapping back and forth.
A voice from behind,"Mercy, bout not you be"
I thinking that I must be trespassing or something. it turns out the lake was part of the swap filled with gators and that was an invite to dinner.
Once you got away from the city and into the backwoods the people spoke a mix of English French and Yoda. Culturally it was like an insult to be unsociable and people wanted to find out as much about me as I enjoyed finding out about them.
I never did finish that book, the next 10 days was birthday parties, country dancing, fishing. community activities and even went gatoring. How would I know that walking a pretty young girls dog was next to getting hitched?
One to beam up and be quick about it.
