in TM.coms interview Walter talks alittle about his Trek VI script but seems to state it will be included in his updated autobio..
-just googled it and found this and it does sound like itd have made a great final Trek film ( or had there been a Trek VII instead of Generations)

have always been very curious about his Trek VI pitch and the way it killed off the crew except Spock & Bones and can remember how the press mustve got a hold of it as at the time were saying everyone will die in VI (can even remember a newspaper cartoon of it)During that period, I wrote an outline for an alternative Star Trek story and submitted it to [Paramount CEO Frank] Mancuso and he tried to call me back and missed me, and then we never made contact. But I did include that at the back of my autobiography. The movie that we actually did was very well written by Nick Meyer, and it was successful with Star Trek fans. They wouldn’t have been happy with mine because I killed off just about everybody except Spock and McCoy. Again, I thought that was the end of our participation, so I felt that was a reasonable ending
