    @cardinal biggles: Nope! Not yet...

    @Nays: And I'll certainly keep listening to you, because I know if you point something out as inaccurate, you're right. :lol: It might just take me a year or two to implement those changes.

    @The Primeval: Glad you think so!

    I've brought over all the modifications I did to the Enterprise bridges into Yamato, plus I think I'm finished with the modeling on this one. I've added the fabric details on the horseshoe (which as you can see cuts up the central LCARS panel, which is thus smaller on this bridge); and modified the conn/ops chairs to give them the padded design they had on the sides from season 2 to season 5.

    I've also decided to completely replace all instances of beige fabric with the new green one. This means that all the fabric on the chairs is now green, with only the leather remaining beige. I think this works in making the look a bit more uniform, and in tying the headrest strips into the design by making them look like the existing strips at the side of the XO/Specialist chairs.

    Not a big fan of the color scheme of this one, but it does look like a highly accurate representation. Well done!

    Looks nice. Do you suppose the Yamato got an updated dedication plaque like the Enterprise, or was that change for some unexplained and unique reason?

    @brainbox: Thanks mate! Cool to see you around here. :)

    @137th Gebirg: It grew on me, but I agree it's certainly... unique... :p

    @Lt. Washburn: I assume it didn't get to have the updated dedication plaque, as the Enterprise only got it on season 5; though if Yamato would've survived up to that point I'm sure it would've got it as well. I'm using the original TNG plaque as the base for Yamato's here. :)

    Here's the Yamato bridge finished! I've modified all the LCARS to be the accurate season 2 versions.

    As mentioned above, the green kinda grew on me (replacing the rest of the beige fabrics did the trick, at least for me), and I maintain that it works better with these LCARS colors than the actual TNG bridge does.

    Granted, I could've gone much further with this design, but I wanted to stay true to the set as best I could, and my client was of the same mind. They are considering a Yamato-A bridge commission for the future, so that's where all the "what if" ideas for this one will end up on. :)

    @Nays: Thanks mate!

    After finishing Yamato, I'm going back to Swiftsure. I had done some more work on the back area, and now I've finished modeling it. I've replaced the boring dark columns I had before with proper buttresses, as well as adding some spotlights and the final floor pattern.

    I meant the plexiglass panels and the hinges. Just scrape off the movie-era circuitry and paint/tape/glue on the TNG-era circuitry, and you're good to go.

    A thought popped into my head of what the bridge would look like if you reversed the beige and green elements. Huh.

    Looks great, I love the subtle permutations to denote different ships.

    Wellp, not exactly the most productive of times for me. I've been really struggling these past few weeks, it's been now almost 70 days since I last saw my partner, so this whole quarantine thing is starting to get on my nerves a bit. I've been following up on two commissions, but my clients have gone silent and thus I have nothing to show you on that front...

    So I decided to do the only thing I know to do and model something, try to see if I can get back into things. After the events of the last few days, I decided on go for Ezri Dax's ship from the 'What We Left Behind' documentary: the USS Emmett Till.
    [IMG]
    Given the date of the events from the documentary as 2395, I'm going for a mix of the Enterprise-E and the Star Trek Online style, while also incorporating the combadge design from Picard for the dedication plaque. Colors are straight from that STO bridge (with the LCARS pallet provided by Thomas Marrone of the STO team).

    I've modeled new perimeter consoles to signify that by that era Starfleet finally stopped using a 100 year old design. I'll also be doing a new viewscreen based on the STO design. Most other things are in place, though the floor still needs work, and everything else is subject to change at this point.

    The ship doesn't have a given registry number, but we've seen one of Eaves' concept pieces with NCC-2277. I've added an 8 in front so I'll be using 82277 on the LCARS. I hope that by posting this WIP it'll be enough to force me to see it through, we'll see.

    Oh my, I really REEEEEEEALLY need to learn how to work with Blender. Most of my 3D stuff has been in Google SketchUp lol

    Nice start! I like the layout, the center area with the command seats and those side consoles feels like an evolution of the Sovereign. I like the start of those side consoles too. Having a single input area and a big screen feels like a nice cross between the 'traditional' Trek consoles and the newer ones that Discovery has thanks to advances in current display tech. I do wonder if the lower part is a bit steep to be comfortable for the user but that's hard to tell at a distance.
