Spoilers Season 3 episode names!

Not to be negative, as I love Discovery, but how sure are we that these titles are real? If they're real, then the production is taking a very different approach to naming than in Seasons 1 and 2, and not necessarily one that works for me. That premiere title in particular sounds really lazy to my ear, and nothing here inspires my curiosity the way a title like "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad" or "Such Sweet Sorrow" did. The writers loaded nearly every title of the first 29 episodes with literary references; what happened?

I can't help thinking that these sound like the titles someone who's faking titles would come up with.

That said, if they're real, Unification III is almost certainly a place, as the Roman numerals and lack of a "Part" differ from even the multi-part episodes listed here. That doesn't mean it isn't a callback to Unification (surely, it is), but I wouldn't be shocked if they visit the third place of the Unification system, where folks are trying to put together a new Federation or something.
Trek Report looks like a pretty reliable site. Even if not, @King Daniel Beyond is a reliable poster who's been around the block. I don't think he'd start this thread unless he thought what Trek Report said was legit.

EDIT: I think if there's a different style of titles, it can be attributed to having a different showrunner, and Michelle Paradise having her own particular way of doing things.

Indeed, even season 2 had a different style of titles than season 1. Though, curiously, these season 3 titles are kind of reminiscent in style to Picard's titles.

Episode 1: “That Hope Is You”
Michael's middle name is revealed to be "Hope". The episode is about the hjinks the crew goes through to discover it.

Episode 2: Forget Me Not
In retread of a TNG episode, every forgets who they are and what they do. As a white male Stamets is presumed to be the Captain.

Episode 3: Scavengers
More hijinks as the crew goes on a scavenger hunt.

Episode 4: Unification III
On Trill Lt. Nelson,a decendant of the late host Jadzia, is united with the Dax symbiont

Episode 5: Terra Firma, Part 1
The ship is forced to land on Earth

Episode 6: Terra Firma, Part 2
The ship must risk using the sporedrive while on Earth

Episode 7: The Sanctuary
A bottle show taking place entirely in the Captain's Ready Room.

You know..... That could work. Maybe not for Discovery. But generally speaking..... An episode where we see the day of the captain in his office, working through admin, people coming to him with problems, reporting ship situations.... There's something in there.

The Captain has an issue with their laptop and call I.T on deck 15. The Vulcan I.T guy says "Have you tried turning it on and off again, Captain? It is only logical"

The Captain then has to call an engineering team to help with an excel spreadsheet.

Seriously though, i think 'The Sanctuary" will be the episode that Discovery goes to Trill.

Terra Nova is where they visit the new Earth and that is that planet in season 1 of Enterprise with the same name.. The entire episode is going to be all shale.

There was also a show about dinosaurs with that name back in 2011.

yeah, I know that (though I wish it didn’t exist). I was talking about Discovery season 3 episodes.

There is no reason though Discovery couldn't have the crew return to that world. Granted if they did I doubt they would explore much in regards to the first episode and it might just be a name drop but if you have humans living on some planet not of Earth then that one would be as good of place as any since last we saw there was already humans living their. You do got to wonder that if the Federation fell then what happened to all those colonies they had.

Calypso seems to have already answered that question. I believe much of Season 3 is probably going to be based on that Short Trek.
