Usually children in these kinds of shows.. and the characters they play play.. can be a little much. I really liked this kid. she had so much personality, so much eagerness. The little girl holds the screen every time the camera is pointing at her.
I wonder how Will and Deanna would react if Kestra enlisted in Starfleet...
Maybe she was adopted? Maybe both of their kids were: there's no telling what effect the events of "The Child" had on Deanna's ability to have more kids later. She was likeable. But looked nothing like either of her parents!
They hired a good actor, which is much better than hiring a "mini me"She was likeable. But looked nothing like either of her parents!

Me, either, under most circumstances, but perhaps it was "encouraged" by the fact that they needed a little bit of genetic engineering anyway in order to get the Betazoid half of Deanna to jive with the rest?I doubt Kestra was genetically engineered. The Rikers don't strike me as the type who would do that.
Wait till she meets the sentient Bunnicorn at ops .Riker can give her a bridge position immediately like Wesley
