Spoilers Star Trek Picard Season 2 Hopes and Predictions

I totally agree that killing Bjayzl was murder, or lynching (not so sure about Rizzo, would have to watch the ight again), just not that they were Fed citizens.

And again, regarding the Mind Meld, the scene with Jurati killing Maddox was shot in a way that has me believe she was perfectly conscious and herself. While I don't remember the McCoy incident, I do feel whenever Trek has shown that a person is "possessed" or controlled by someone, it would be clearly shown to the viewer, by a completely different personality, speech patterns, etc.

I think it would really have helped if they had shown us what happened between J. and Oh, and subsequently how Jurati felt, istead of trying to make it a "surprise", which it wasn't anyway. We could, for exaple, have seen her as she almost confided in Rios or Picard what had happened; the suspense would have been: Does she or does she not go through with it?

Levar Burton did an Entertainment tonight interview and it sounds we'll be seeing Geordi LaForge again in Picard season 2.I've been wondering what happened to his character after reading Una McCormack's The Last best hope Picard novel.
It makes it all the more puzzling why Season 1 was bent on killing Hugh and Data then, as Geordi had good friendships with both.

Why didn't they just have Data set up into a holodeck at the end to catch up with old friends? If Brent doesn't want to wear the makeup anymore then he doesn't have to-- a holographic Data can look however he wants to.

They explained it.

The "Data" in the quantum whatever was what was left of his consciousness extracted from a positronic neuron from B4, or something like that. It wasn't really Data, at least not completely. What was left of Data wanted to be let go, and Picard honored his request.

Surely I'm not the only one who got that? :techman:

I hope for season 2 will have brighter lights for the ship scenes . I think alot of the scenes of Picard season 1 were too dark and it was hard to see the characters like in the Borg ship.Dump the silly lense flares would be nice too.

I predict Guinan and the Doctor from VOY will make appearances. Seven becomes a regular.

Hope they make a visit to DS9.

Hopefully no more bad guy threats to Earth/Federation/Galaxy/Universe/multiverse/all sentient life/all biological life.

Patrick Stewart invited Whoopi to join the show for season 2 a couple or so weeks ago, so Guinan will be there

Data remembered his time with Mark Twain and that's why he asked Picard to terminate his consciousness

People and things I'd like to see in the seasons to come:
  • more with Laris and Zhaban
  • a follow-up with FNN reporter Richter Kalungay (from the interview in "Remembrance")
  • Adm. Kirsten Clancy and the consequences of her choices, and of the information she didn't have until almost too late
I realize the production team's under no obligation to provide me any of this.

Why would Data be any happier trapped in the holodeck than Moriarty?

I just saw on Treknews.net Jonathan Frakes will be directing a season 2 episode of Picard.I l'd like to see him return to play Captain Riker again. He wants get to work directing tv shows again and working with Patrick and the other cators from Star trek Picard. They mentioned gain about Whoopi Goldberg is reprising her role of Guinan I hope that the tv writers will give her a good story with Picard that's what I want to see what happened to her after her last appearence in star trek Nemesis.

Considering that Moriarty had emotions, was impatient like his novel version, and that Data could presumably shut those off, Data might be fine as long as he knows someone is working on a way for him to get out. Also, Starfleet likely would make retrieving Data, an officer killed in the line of duty, a higher priority than they would for Moriarty who has done bad things to Starfleet in the past.

Regarding Riker, I just watched a Trek Central vid where they speculated that, if season 2 deals with questions like "Is Golem Picard really Picard or a copy or a different person," then it would actually be interesting to have Tom Riker. I agree. (Although my personal preference would be that these questions were not an issue at all, but if they are...)
