Red Dwarf season 13 officially happening!

That's one of the (many) flaws of the American version of RD - Terry Farrell didn't play Cat the same way that Danny John-Jules did. Because I can TOTALLY see her wearing flashy suits and acting like DJJ.

 

Damn it. I thought they had already filmed this last year. So another years wait....

 

I liked her take the best of the two American pilots because it was a unique take on a cat character. The other guy just felt like he was just doing a poor DJJ impression or something.

 

Speaking of the American version, I really like the bits I've seen of Jane Leeves as Holly. I think she sells the empty-headedness of the character better than Hattie Hayridge did.

Excellent! I also saw the first 5 minutes posted on the official YouTube channel. I enjoyed the admittedly obvious cat jokes. Any word on how to see this in the U.S.?

 

A very good question. I was able to register on uktv play, but the video won't run. Of course the ad before the video does run.

 

Try a VPN. Set it to UK and that should work.

I’m not trying to evade georestrictions. I was just wondering if there was a tentative U.S. release date, whether on DVD or otherwise? I was able to wait for the DVD releases of Seasons X-XII (even longer for XII since by DVD player crapped out on me and I didn’t get around to replacing it for about a year).

 

NordVPN is a good one. You might have to pay for it though.
