USS Enterprise (eventually) on Discovery?

Discoprise exterior: Bland, uninspired, Matt Jeffries + Enterprise B greebles + squashed + weathered + weird solid gold deflector.
Kelvinprise exterior: Unique, inspired, shiny adaptation of a classic design.
I like the Discoprise Design better than the Kelvin, but the Exterier paint and details I like Whole Heartly Better! Love the Aztec of the Kelvin, there is just Junk textures on the Discoprise.. :barf2:

Ironically the exterior of the Kelvin Timeline Enterprise is closer in hull color to the TOS ship than the DSC version of the vessel.

I like both the KelvinPrise and DiscoPrise, both are clearly recognisable as the Enterprise 1701.

If we see a Pike series they may eventually switch the hull colour back to white to match TOS.

I would be fine if they left it though.

In my head.. the Discoprise was just out of Space dock.. and they didn't get to paint it yet when they went to help the Disco.. and After it went back in.. they finaly painted the darn thing.. well atleast I hope thats an explanation.. ugh textures on that thing are horrendous..

If the do a Pike series.. they take some time and tidy up the textures and give her a good aztecing and wash :)

I like both as well. I think it shows that you can have variety in basic design.

Too poor to paint, too proud to whitewash perhaps.

Was the 1701 refitted shortly before WNMHGB? If so, should the 1701 look like The Cage version until then?
There's no way to reconcile the differing looks with refits, since the Short Treks featuring Pike, Spock and the Enterprise take place before "The Cage". So it starts as the Discoprise for the shorts, changes to TOS for "The Cage" then changes back for season 2 of Discovery, then changes back again for TOS proper.

Seems a disconnect to me. Either all Discoprise from pre Cage to TMP, or Cage WNMHGB TOS to TMP?
"Ephraim and Dot" (which I totally forgot about and spans "The Naked Time" all the way to Star Trek III: The Search For Spock) would seem to suggest the Discoprise is how the TOS ship "really" looked until it was upgraded for The Motion Picture.

I suspect we're giving this more thought that they did.
