Spoilers Star Trek: Picard 1x09 - "Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 1"

Had a second watch, and I don't dislike the ep more than I did the first time around, but there also weren't any aspects settled in better on second viewing either.
I think a big part of it not having much emotional stake in Soji's fate, and so I'm inclined to be a bit blase about the resolution of the synth mystery. Save for the sisterly bonding with Kestra in ep 7, I never really warmed up to Soji. Dahj's predicament, her early attempts at agency, and her near-instant rapport with Picard got me invested in her. But then she was abruptly killed off and it was five weeks of watching Narek lead Soji around by the nose while waiting for a redo of a set-up handled more efficiently in ep one. And the resolution of the synth-side mystery was just... fine. It's another Soong. Sure, that's a thing that might happen in Star Trek. I can think of worse reveals. But there's no "Ooo, that was NEAT!" factor there for me as a Trek fan, or for this installment of the franchise in particular, and I don't think we're going to get there in the one remaining episode.
And the flip side there is that all the sympathy and interest I'm pretty sure the writers wanted me to have for Soji/the synth predicament went firmly to the xB subplot. I was a lot more excited to see the Artifact show up than I was that the crew had found Soji's homeworld. (And not just because the Artifact's entrance likely made Narek **** himself.
) And I expect we're not going to get much resolution there, though hey... if they want to do a spin-off with Seven, Elnor and their hunted xB crew, I'll fork over the $$$ to watch it in real time.
So I don't know... I'm not disappointed per se, I just wish I was more stoked for this last episode than I am.

We didn’t. We did see her with the new arrivals, but the dialogue from her indicates she’s been there for a bit already.

Can't wait for the final episode so I don't have read any more posts about Picard transferring his mind to an android, or whether Soong is really Lore, or any of the androids are based on Lore, or if the big bad is control. It's time to put these cockamamie theories to rest.

It's not hard to make, it's just like the store bought stuff, and most moms with more than three kids can whip it up in their sleep.
Small quibble: after experiencing the admonition, Sutra uses Spock's catchphrase, "fascinating". She should have used Data's catchphrase, "intriguing".
I figured it was a reference to Sutra being a Vulcanophile.
