Doesn't have to be that way.If they go forward with Starfleet Academy, a good half of that show is gonna be who's banging who. And the principle characters gazing lovingly at each other, Clark and Lana style.

Honestly I'd prefer an official star trek porn series to a Star Trek Romance series, way more fun.

An excuse for more emo bullshit.I have no idea what a "romance" series is.

My point stands. Neither are enjoyable; just forced and awkward. You do realize my post was tongue in cheek right?
Romance has been around a long time. "Emo bullshit" not so much.An excuse for more emo bullshit.
"Should" is a strong word for art, but I'd say: Why not? Some of the "soapy" DS9 episodes are favourites of me...
Yeah, I think something like Moonlighting, or more recently Bones would work. Both had for several seasons that "will they, won't they" thing going on, which is usually more fun for audiences than immediate coupling. I think Bones would be the better one to emulate, while amusing at times, it wasn't as much of a romantic comedy, which would probably be a better choice for a ST show.maybe not Outlander.. but maybe more Moonlighting vibe..

So in this show, you would have the 2 mains, plus a small crew.. I'm thinking comedy..
