Here is an idea--flip the BoP wings upside down--baffles side down (ventral) with nacelles in place if the wings--TOS style.

Feel better soon.:techman:
Thanks!

Wow! Very cool work, Atolm! I've never seen so many cool-looking Romulan ships!

Get feeling better soon.
Thanks and Thanks!

lol...The wings are variable geometry...when they are up they will look like the TOS BoP profile. The main reason for not putting the main structure of the variable geometry on the bottom, rather than the to, is that it would give the ship...how should I put this delicately..."breast-like structures". But I did think of doing it... So always thanks for the suggestion :)

Interesting designs, the Warhawk especially, looks sturdy and strange but it is great.
Volucer looks fast, more like a model that is built in larger numbers.

Again two nice designs with their own look and feel. :mallory:

Thank you Brother. The Warhawk is supposed to be a vessel that existed during the Enterprise C era... not a Warbird, but something to patrol the more unruly parts of the Imperium.
The Scout-Hawk is a larger sister ship (at 150m long) of the standard Scout ship, and that command section can detach an serve as an auxiliary craft, if the need arises.

Would this be a Romulan-Cardassian hybrid? The bridge area is elevated like a Galor/Kelvin and it also has that same phaser/disruptor/whoseewhatsits in the front and underneath.
I Actually is not, though I see the similarities that you pointed out. the Command section can detach if needed. :) beneath that, is the plasma torp launcher, as well as hardpoint to swap out the plasma launcher and use other more specialized equipment.

Wow! Dude, they definitely need to get you on as a concept artist for Picard. Your Romulan designs blow theirs away, and based on what we’ve recently seen of the new Starfleet ships, yours would have also been a welcome addition.

Thanks mate! I actually have not seen any of the romulan ships from picard, as I do not use streaming services.

Very sleek design. Really like it as it looks very functional.
Thank you. :)

That Radon class ship is very cool and extremely... Atolm.. :mallory::techman:
lol thanks! That ship was wholly inspired by the legendary film version of Rodan in Godzilla: King of Monsters... Specifically, when Rodan does a barrel roll to destroy the F-32s. I loved how they portrayed his wings in that scene, like manta ray fins...so this 4-warp nacelled ship has that shape.
Even her class name is the Japanese name for Rodan.

There's a thread about all the Picard ships here, starting with the repurposed Disco designs for the Short Trek "Children of Mars", which caused much ire (for inexplicably reusing 100+ year old designs).

Then, on the Jan 23 premiere, we had a look at the Starfleet Transport Tugs that nicely resembled 24th century design lineage and seemed to pay homage to the FJ Ptolemy class - starting on page 28. Most people liked these.

The Romulan ships start appearing on page 29, and are scattered throughout, as they are the main antagonists in the show. Basically, they take the Valdore design, make it smaller, narrower and longer, with a massive wingspan and tiny body, and none of them look like they have an internal volume larger than that of the Defiant.

Finally, the one that seemed to offend everyone, 200+ copy-pastes of ostensibly the same Federation ship (allegedly showing 4 distinct classes) facing off against a copy-paste fleet of 200+ Romulan ships, starting on page 126 (in the spoiler code).

Needless to say, the ship design for this show has been a mixed-bag. Really like the plot and characters, though, which is ultimately what matters.

- Ah, I thought it seemed familiar somehow :bolian:

I like the Trierarchus warhawk - do the hulls separate?

Are the pairs of nacelles line-of-sight with each other doing their warp effect thing a la Roddenberry's Rules?

If not, there may be too many nacelles here for me. Like maybe the two nearest the body or the two on the wings could be sensor pods or Klingon Bird-of-Prey-like weapons or Galactica-like shuttlebays.

Also, I wonder if the wingtips and tail could have been less feathery and more organic like the D'deridex, but I may be partial as that is my end-all favorite Romulan ship.

That said, this ship is amazing, and I always enjoy your designs so much. So much creativity and distinctiveness that I wish the canon were closer to.
