This episode is just as bad as I feared once I heard the Japan spoilers. There's literally no reason for Rizzo to kill Hugh, she needs him alive as he knows where Picard went!!! We're literally at the point where the villains are being grimdark and evil to the point they'll commit actions that impede their own goals. That strikes me as very poor writing.

Well. I'm really bummed for the Rikers.

i agree. if anyone deserved to have no drama in their Happily ever after its Will and Deanna. I thought for sure, they were going to pull a "Future Imperfect" and have Picard go, "Where's my namesake" as in Future Imperfect, Riker had a fake son named "Jean-Luc Riker".

Soji: Grrr, my so obviously super shady Romulan boyfriend who was already super secretive even in bed tried to kill me, I can't trust anyone!!!

Riker: Let's watch some old Enterprise mission logs together, these 2 are entitled "Future Imperfect" and "Frame of Mind". I trust afterwards your situation won't seem so bad in comparison to what I had to go through.

I'm not sure how I feel about this episode. Seeing Will and Deanna was great and I actually liked Kestra quite a bit. Elinor got to do some serious ass-kicking, which was cool. It's too bad Hugh had to die, but it sets up Seven's return quite nicely. Good stuff.

I'm not sure the series needed a breather episode at this point; I worry it might have killed what momentum the last two episodes gave the show. But it was fan service done right, and I'm not going to complain too much.

I don't care about the Agnes subplot as much as the show wants me to, though. So she saw the roboapocalypse through a mind meld and immediately took the red pill, er, the chewable tracking device? I'm not really buying that seeing a quick montage of stuff blowing up real good would cause her to become a murderer. And honestly, way too much airtime was devoted to her inner conflict.

All in all, gonna rate this one a 6. Liked the Riker and Borg cube subplots, couldn't have cared less about what was happening aboard La Sirena. We're all rested up, show. Kick the plot into high gear and take us home already.

She did not need to keep Hugh alive to know where Picard is. Narek was following Jurati's tracking chip.

So when Picard went through the gate, he left the Fenris call thing hanging? It seemed like he just walked through.

Well,
Seven is back in action next week

I'm sure Picard has put her number as the 911 button in his communicator ;);)

Well now we know why Oh didn't bother mindmelding with Picard and instead chose weak willed Agnes.

Picard: Well, you know, Commodore, perhaps I don't give a **** about your images, because your images is my future and as far as I'm concerned, it hasn't been written yet.

Will: "But first, let's watch a mission log called 'The Measure of a Man.' It's about a great man, a man I was proud to call a friend, a man who was greater than most mortal men could ever aspire to be."

Soji: "You mean Data?"

Will: "No. I mean Brian Brophy."
