Paraphrasing my best Sisko impression from "Image in the Sand" when Captain Sisko insisted Ben Sisko tell him who Sarah Sisko was (read it with Avery Brooks' voice), "Damnit TrekBBS!!! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HIS SALARY IS!!!!!"

I quite like it, sort of indicating that Star Trek Picard is a direct continuation of "All Good Things", not just a sequel to TNG.https://www.reddit.com/r/startrek/c...card_this_whole_series_has_been_one/?sort=new

Considering this show is about helping Romulan refugees as a metaphor, I would hope that some of the massive profits of this show are going to some kind of refugee charity or something. I mean, otherwise it's kind of jarring to see the show taking advantage of their situation for their script, have Picard fight for the rights of fantasy refugees, and then none of the profit of all that goes to actual refugees...
Could it imply that he will be more important as the shows continues.
All of that seems very unlikely. The show isn't about Starfleet. Patrick probably wouldn't do it if it became that.Could it imply that he will be more important as the shows continues.
Give Picard the Commander in Chief Starfleet position
Raffi gets the Chief of Starfleet Security position
Elnor becomes the first Romulan in Starfleet, its going to happen sooner or later.
Agreed. I'm pretty sure this show ends with Picard dying, although I don't know how they'll rename the show, or if they'll rename the La Sirena the Picard. All of that seems very unlikely. The show isn't about Starfleet. Patrick probably wouldn't do it if it became that.
The show will probably just end at that point. The series is about Picard.Agreed. I'm pretty sure this show ends with Picard dying, although I don't know how they'll rename the show, or if they'll rename the La Sirena the Picard.
That is just one option if they don't kill off the character. All of that seems very unlikely. The show isn't about Starfleet. Patrick probably wouldn't do it if it became that.
Not the first character in Star Trek to have 'Star' in their name, from Memory-Alpha:
Sato's given name of Hoshi means "star" in Japanese, a fact which is likely not coincidental. Her translated name appears in katakana in the Japanese dubs of the series. "Sato" (also written Satou) is the most common of Japanese surnames and usually written with characters meaning help/assistant and wisteria. However, the dropping of the "u" may be intentional – "sato" means home/village, so she's "at home in the stars."
