Troi sensing nothing from Soji

I guess her telepathic skills hasn't got much improvements since the time she served on the -D

Wondering if Troi's going to namedrop the whereabouts of any other ex-TNG crew, esp. Beverly whom so far hasn't been mentioned. I also wonder whether she's going to mention Lwaxanna's fate, which I assume is now deceased (RIP Majel Barrett).

It's no surprise that Troi would not be able to sense her, no matter how advanced Soji may be there is no way they could replicate human thought itself, without that Troi won't be able to hear them.

No idea havent watched any TNG in decades.

I suppose its possible but Troi would be sensing the chip in Data which is sort of not the same thing.

Compare that to Soji who does have emotions but Deanna will not detect anything, so whatever it is that enables Soji to experience emotion is very different to the chip Soong made for Data.

Did Deanna ever sense emotion in Lore, if not it would indicate that the same functionality was finally perfected in Soji.

It seems to me that Dahj & Soji are far more advanced than Data & Lore, so their "real" emotions, like everything else about their biological nature, would be more human-like.

Perhaps not human like because that was probably what sent Lore off the deep end in the first place.

More along the lines of a truly integrated/embedded instruction set distributed throughout her body rather than just a chip which will overload locally as we saw with Data at first.

The issue was perhaps not the emotion itself but the type of signal/interface that was used.

Would Deanna have sensed Soji if she had been standing outside the room when Narek sprung his trap, her emotions could be more low level in nature and can only be sensed when stressed.

I did find one Reddit thread where they said it was released. It apparently was pulled pretty quickly. But my search (which was just a few minutes) didn't come up with any real details on the episode.

Not a mod, but that was not promoting anything in my view. He just mentioned it in reference to watching episode 7. It is not like there was a link or he said how he did it.

I find that a bit odd. I’ve looked all the usual spots too and I admin a Picard group with close to 30k people. Like you said too, no plot points other than Deanna not sensing Soji.

Yeah.......Like I said maybe I'm just a grumpy old fart but it's hard to contain something like this..........Not even people TALKING about it? I did find a couple of posts on reddit saying Amazon auto deleted from their devices.....Just seems fishy. There's lots of folks in Japan.......
