Brian Brophy didn’t return?

Every few years, the board has a burst of energy for some obscure character.

After '09 it was Robau (who was on screen for like 7 seconds).

Long before that, there was a brief but glorious outpouring for St. John Talbot. I can't even remember why, but it was fun for a couple of hours.

The internet's ability to take something silly and run it into the ground is constantly impressive.

IIRC, that was because someone started a thread claiming he had the "most ridiculous name in the entire Trek franchise" and then everything spiralled from there.

I accept primary responsibility for the St. John Talbot business. I could explain more, as a lot of it is still very clear in my mind even after all this time... but there's a bit of shame surrounding the whole affair. :o

And let's not forget Boba Fett. Dude was in TESB for all of one minute, and then gets eaten by a Sarlacc and digested for a thousand years, and yet he's considered the poster boy for badassery.

This is setting up a 10-part limited event series called Star Trek: Maddox, where Bruce Maddox is kidnapped, tortured and interrogated by Gul Madred, who tries to convince him that he's actually a 21st century Caltech theater director and not a Starfleet cyberneticist. When he refuses to break, Gul Madred shows him footage of Bruce Maddox being killed by Agnes Jurati and points out how he doesn't even look anything like him.

and that's just the first episode...

"You need to take leave from your current job and spend a few days brushing up your acting skills, learning scripts, getting measured for wardrobe, rehearsing, and performing."

"Sorry, I'm busy."
“What an unexpected, terrifying, and touching offer. It would be a distinct pleasure. Thank you.”
