Regarding Jurati's behavior, it strikes me that if there's a horrific secret involved, and it involves synths, then she might be more affected by it than the next person because it's her life's work.

Whatever it is, it's going to have to relate to some aspect of her character. There's no way they can come up with a secret so shocking that will we be worth all this build up for the audience, so it'll have to be something we can see being utterly devestating to her specifically.

Its unfortunate then that she hasn't been characterized much beyond "nerdy weirdo" yet.

Its like what I said in an earlier post, is it just the knowledge that gets transferred or the fear as well., a Vulcan can handle it but what if they spread that fear unintentionally.

It may not work on Picard as he has mind melded before and was a Borg for a time.

The Commodore may not be certain what Picard will do about it.
It'll work. He's already prone to outbursts of emotion from irumodic syndrome. Picard may actually set up a Zhat Vash fan club. :rommie:

That is true but it would also indicate that the truth as they know it is very black and white with no shades of grey in between, yet I am not sure it is because of Narek, he isn't half the zealot his sister is, why not.

Yeah...it obviously involves synths, so while somebody else might learn this secret and go "Well that's fucked up--somebody needs to do something about that," she'd be the one going "Oh my god, I have to do something about this, whatever it takes."

Was hoping to see a bit more of FreeCloud than only a nightclub and a health clinic, but it was still awesome world-building for Trek. So happy for Mot that he is still cutting hair.

Picard inhaling Tazbah (sp?) egg is the grossest thing from any Trek I've seen.

Mmm, fresh taspar! https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Taspar_egg

There's a foot massage scene (TNG: The Price?) and that's still the grossest Trek scene I've ever seen.

She isn't mind controlled at all.

Commodore Oh literally showed her why Maddox and Soji need to die, no doubt about it, whether or not what she has been shown is the truth remains to be seen, she certainly believes it.

Only watched it once, it seemed like Agnes was having some sort of panic attack which triggered the EMH, twice. It made me wonder if we think if she'd been fitted with a device transmitting audio and video to Starfleet security - or something like Geordi and the Duras Sisters in Generations. The scene at the end with Maddox - I thought she was talking to a third party, rather than to herself. Maybe I saw it wrong, really need to find time to watch it again. She said something about needing to atone for something (else!?). The posts describing the mind-meld scenes are helpful, missed those clues. So maybe she's not mind-controlled, either influenced, surveilled or... something.

I'm glad Seven went back to disintegrate Bjayzl and that Rios understood it needed to happen. Talking about mercy is appropriate after you've eliminated the perpetrator's capacity to do harm, but this woman was still willing to go on abducting people, abusing them, selling them into slavery, and harvesting parts from their still-living bodies. Leaving her in a position where she can keep doing that is clearly unethical.

Great point, reminds me of some of those old TNG-era episode plot morality topics.

The end really showed the contrast between VOY Seven and PIC Seven. In Voyager, Janeway would've talked Seven down from killing Bjayzl. And then that would've been the end of it. In Picard, Seven only pretends to be talked down. Then, later on, she beams down and then goes into full-on Bad-Ass Mode.

The impression I got was that Seven was convinced by others she'd be bringing too many innocents down with her if she took Bjayzl out then and there. Going back later meant she took on the responsibility wholly.

I am not entirely convinced about the Irumodic Syndrome diagnosis, we know that mental instability can be artificially triggered and even faked.

Picard may not be ill at all, it would be an excellent way for any conspiracy to debunk anything he says before he has even said it.

I keep coming back to that dream with Data and the five queens, it may end up being far more than just a dream.

Did Maddox really succeed in creating Dahj and Soji in so short a time, I never believed the whole 1000 years rubbish but achieving it in a decade or two, that is no time at all, did he have help without realising it.

i don't recall Agnes calling Starfleet criminals on intergalactic TV.
Politicians and officials do that in the real world on twitter and they still keep their positions. Compared to recent news, Picard's outburst actually seems relatively mild.

Yes. One word: Lore. We are never told what happened to his mostly intact body.

Could this be why Jurati was acting so anxious all the time? Because of how terrified she was by what Oh had shown her during the meld?

That's what I was thinking about as well. Given how famous Sarek and Picard were, their mind meld was probably common knowledge.

He had Soong's work to built upon

Yeah his whereabouts have not been shown conclusively only B4 and we know B4 was an inferior prototype and not suitable so his parts were left alone.
