Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

Trek Collective has posted some new character bios for the Picard characters that reveal quite a bit of new information.
Hugh is the executive director of the Borg Reclamation Project on "The Artifact"
Elnor is an orphan who was raised by an all female Romulan religious order called Qowat Milat
Agnes Jurati is an ex-Starfleet Officer.

Seven’s bio mentions the supernova’s date as 2387, think that’s the first time they’ve confirmed it’s still that year in any sort of material related to PIC?

well as somone who doesnt love it nor hates it i feel very alone online
Well, it's not for me, yet. I'm waiting for it to drop completely and then watch it all. I have very ambivalent, if slightly negative, feelings towards it, for a wide variety of reasons.

Sure, they all love The Orville and whatnot

The funny thing is they didn't love The Orville. The ratings went down and it finally got moved to Hulu. Same thing with The Expanse. Don't get me wrong, both shows have devoted followings but the Fandom Menace doesn't talk about them anymore.

They're going to be negative no matter what. What's useful is to know what they're complaining about. Do they have a point, do they have to distort things, or are they just outright trash-talking and sounding ignorant?

No Yes Yes Yes.

These people are some of the most dishonest jerks I have ever seen. I've caught Midnight's Edge in several lies. My favorite was that Kurtzman was fired and Picard was going to be disaster. Kurtzman wasn't fired and Picard has some of the highest ratings ever. Oh and Eaglemoss is not some guy in a garage with a 3d printer. The only series that gets it worse is Doctor Who. They keep saying it's failing even thought the UK viewership numbers are slowly going up and they just renewed Jodi Whitaker's contract.

If they have to stretch and make shit up, they have nothing.

They are still dangerous. I blame them for the mess that is Rise of Skywalker but the writers sticking it to them is why Season 2 of Discovery is so good.

I treat Midnight's Edge like the National Enquirer. Picard was a disaster just like Elvis was spotted on an island in 1991.

I happen to like The Rise of Skywalker. But I'm also not a Star Wars Fan, so don't read too much into that. You could probably argue circles around me about Star Wars and for most of it, I'd have no idea what you were talking about. So back to Star Trek. :p

I agree with you about DSC Season 2. For a whole host of reasons I won't get into because it's the wrong forum and I know when other people jump in, it'll go on for pages and pages and pages (been down that road before), so I'll leave it there. ;)
