What do you think will happen first, a new Star Wars movie or a Firefly something?
Let's... the franchise whose lowest box office was 392 million dollars world wide or the franchise whose only movie made 40 million world wide...
Tough call.
We'll get the Firefly continuation shortly after the Crusade one.
Can you afford the DVDs? You've seen enough of the show to know weither it's worth the investment (It is, I have them and watch them at least once a year). That way you'll have them on hand to watch when you want.I was watching Babylon 5 for the first time. Just watched the first episode of season 5 and Amazon Prime pulled it without warning! So pissed.

B5 season 5 is mostly the Scouring of the Shire. There are a few good episodes but most are missable if one is not an uber fan of the first four seasons.
I think the 2nd half is pretty important.
Can't be that important if it wasnt part of the original 5 year plan.
But it 'twas.
He reshuffled stuff because they thought season 4 was going to be the last. That's why they shot the finale as a part of Season 4, but then at the last minute, it was saved.
Yes I know all that. So seasons 4 and 5 of the original plan were shoved all into season 4 with the ending. That's the end, it had the finale episode. So season 5 that we got wasn't part of the plan.
It looks like Fox must have gotten the rights to the movie at some point. I checked my e-book copy of the collection of Leaves on the Wind, the first post-movie miniseries, and it's copyrighted to Fox, after that I checked my paperback copy of the trade of Those Left Behind and it's copyrighted to Universal.I don't understand what's going on with the legalities at all. It made some amount of sense when the post-series and post-movie comics were being released under the "Serenity" title, but now they've switched to a different publisher who's not only calling them "Firefly," but released new editions of the older comics under the Firefly title, though the new comics seem to be set in the series era (I swear, that typo/retcon in "The Shepherd's Tale" that the TV show took place over four years instead of eight months is the gift that keeps on giving).
I guess that depends on your definition of meaningful, there have been new novels and comics coming out for the last year or two. Both seem to be continuing so they must be at least somewhat successful, but I'm not sure if they'd be successful enough to translate to a successful movie or revival show.Oh I was making fun of this topic because I don't think we will ever get anything meaningful from the Firefly universe ever again. They have been doing this bullshit for 15 years. However there won't be Star Wars movies for three years (?) so many Firefly 3.0 will happen by then.

I still just want Dark Matter Season 4.....
