Not to mention pre-production of the new Section 31 series and the two other "unnamed" series that were recently announced, one of which is likely a Pike project. Lotta pots on the stove, there.

Funny how CBS have churned out 2 seasons of Discovery, 2 seasons of Short Treks and are now on season 1 of Picard and Axanar is still asking for more money so they can send out the perks people paid more years ago. Hilariously the most Axanar footage we've seen since the lawsuit has been leaked battle footage by Terry McIntosh and that godawful Axanar Heroes uniform-lifting-bugeyes sequence RMB.
Plus - how AXANAR was supposed to cost less - but deliver more than an ACTUAL CBS/union Trek production could, and they (ARES Studios) would do it FASTER too....yeah, about that - :guffaw:

Hell, I'm hearing season 2 of Picard will start filming in March. Alec doesn't need help in looking like an incompetent jackass, but CBS is more than doing their bit to help.

It is amusing, but to be fair, that very same thing happened to HBO's The Brink, which was renewed for a season 2 then subsequently cancelled only days later.

A shame, as that was a really good show, but methinks it may have hit a little too close to home with what happens when the sausage is made in Congress, and also what happens onboard an aircraft carrier, that doesn't always stay on an aircraft carrier.

Long and short of it, I don't think anything's been cancelled (yet).

I continue to find it shocking, and a bit sad, that there are still enough people out there willing to throw their money away like this.
If they have that much extra money and are willing to donate it, then maybe the should find a local charity or donate it to help fight the fires in Australia or help post-earthquake Pureto Rico.
Pfft. Funding Alec's lifestyle/the return of True Trek™ feat. Sexy Garth is far more important than any of those things. Those are just charities. Axanar is a movement.

After drinking all of LFIM's kool-aid, I'm surprised there are still idiots with money left in this world.
