I addressed this point somewhere else, but basically Worf of now doesn't hate Romulans as much as he did during TNG's run. Worf was able to hold down his hatred of Romulans during the Dominion War, sitting at briefings with them and coordinating with his Romulan counterparts on battle tactics and so forth. Indeed, even in Nemesis you can see Worf's attitude towards the Romulans has shifted since he even notes the Romulans who helped the Enterprise fight the Scimitar fought and died with honour. And there was a deleted scene in the movie where Worf is critically injured fighting a Reman and only survives due to emergency surgery performed by a Romulan doctor. So with this in mind, should Worf ever visit Picard's vineyard, I see him being civil and polite towards Picard's Romulan friends. Perhaps it's an awkward conversation for all involved, but he's not going to start screaming "away from me and die, Romulan petaq!" Besides, I doubt even at the time of The Enemy Worf would wish death upon civilians and children, nor do I see him objecting to efforts to save civilians and children, even if they are Romulan.
Can't some of these folks be dead or have lives that took unexpected turns? Fuck have Worf running guns or something.
Yes but I got to say Worf being married to Guinan and being Captain of the Enterprise and even having a sense of humor would be unexpected. As for dead I think I would maybe say Keiko is dead and maybe O'Brien's children. He was always tortured on DS9 and that would be the ultimate torture. Maybe Picard finds him drunk and working as car mechanic in essence on some alien world. Geordi could be in a wheelchair because he was severely injured during the Utopia Planitia attack. Dr Crusher could be a politician who is sort of fighting in the Federation equivalent of the Senate to try and get the Federation to help the Refuges. The EMH could be part of Seven's freedom fighters. Jason
Ummm ... the comic writers are also the writers of the PICARD show. One would think that they of all people know exactly what is going on with the TNG characters and ships. I just think that when the comic story line was written, that kind of information had not yet been decided on.
No, they’re not. Kirsten Beyer is a staff writer for DSC, not STP. And Mike Johnson is just a comic writer not affiliated with STP.
At this point, my preference would be for Chancellor Worf. I like to imagine that Doctor Crusher sided with Captain Picard and is working for a Médecins Sans Frontières type organisation.
She is an EP on Picard and has a "Story by" credit for the first episode - she is heavily involved in Picard.
Thanks for the clarification. But she and Johnson still might not have known anything about the Enterprise and who her captain currently is, if the decision was make to not show the Enterprise.
I hope everyone not already listed as being in the show, went down in a shuttle accident over Risa during an orgy of drugs and sex.
Ambassador Worf is on Nimbus III twiddling his thumbs. Whether he's employed by the Klingons or the Federation nobody knows.
In my head canon, the fact that he and Picard didn't get along also provided motivation to Picard to seek out promotion.
No, just no to Worf as Captain of the Enterprise. If the Enterprise does show up I want to see someone new commanding her.
