It isn't?It's *checks calendar* not 1977 anymore.
*throws out calendar.* Whoops...
Or my wife who is a published author. Not according to my almost 27 year old daughter.
Or my various other female friends.

There is no diversity in these films.. or captian marvel.. sure you might have people that look different, that have a different gender and whatnot, but tehy are all representing the same political views as the writers and the rest of the Hollywood elite.
You have not made an argument here. Just pointed a figure, couching mere insults in pretty poetic words. You made no real argumentblunt force:
Yes, you are that type. You are the definition of that type. The world isn't made as shitty as it is by wicked people who make the decisions that hurt people and oppress them. Those would be sent to their proper dustbins easily enough. It's people like you who rationalize and embrace the injustices, that attempt to be John the Baptist to a cavalcade of historical mistakes, as if you could make any new converts to a cause that needs to die. Look in a metaphorical mirror one day without the blinders and you might hate what you see. People like you are actually what is wrong with the world. But people like you can change.
You did not answer my question, though like everyone else here, you skirted around the question with ease, you guys are good at that!I suppose we could point out that "plan A" for casting Star Wars back in 1975 was for the majority of the cast to be non-white (Obi-Wan & Leia would have been Japanese, & Han Solo would have been black) but Toshiro Mifune said "No", so Lucas went to "Plan B": ask Alec Guiness instead.
Of course I feel like an appeal of facts and logic would be lost on a closed mind wrapped in an obnoxious gobshite...that is of such a one were to read this...
You made no real argument
Oh, I read them. Your spelling still sucks. So neither of you have read all those paragraphs I wrote.. ok.
Yeah, nice try. Admiral Holdo was entirely Rian Johnson's creation which Kathleen Kennedy had nothing to do with at all. But you know, continue hating Krazy Kathy at your leisure.Oh let's add KK's admiral Holdo to the mix
90 percent of the fanbase is male.. and even the women who have been fans of the franchise since the beginning.. many of them don't want the change for the sake of change, they don't need to be pandered to.. a good story is a good story. Most Rush fans are male.. but women still listen .. more every day, but if Rush had started writing more corny country like love songs and trying to change their target audience to bring in more women, they might not have succeeded.. and could have alienated their fan base
my point is that these franchises should not try to change their target.
Just like it's not the oscar's jobs to pick a winner just because that person is a new demographic that has not won before
There is no argument. This is not some parlor game or elegant discussion. I'm not discussing the nature of reality with Aristotle across the wind-kissed summit of the Pnyx. I'm telling a racist, misogynist torchbearer that they are everything that is wrong with the world. If you want the kind "debate" you crave, go back to hitting the comment sections on youtube. You have not made an argument here. Just pointed a figure, couching mere insults in pretty poetic words. Ask a question worth answering and I'll see what I can do. Keep regurgitating bile and stupidity all over the screen and I'll just keep on-a-dancing.You did not answer my question, though like everyone else here, you skirted around the question with ease, you guys are good at that!
uhhhhhhhhhh ... was it a PROBLEM that Star Wars (1977) had white male leads, one prominent white female character, no blacks let alone people of other races? Was THAT a problem????
Sad but true. The fact that diversity is treated as "box checking" showcases something I learned back in 7th grade-that representation is a struggle. That is wasn't (and really still isn't) a problem says a lot about how far we still have to go as a society.
are offended when Elmur Fudd shoots Daffy in the mouth all day? Are you offended that we see that kind of GUN VIOLENCE in children's TV?? OMGThat is wasn't (and really still isn't) a problem says a lot about how far we still have to go as a society.

Are you hoping that the next Marvel film has a freckled face for a lead? THAT demographic has not had a lead yet
Warning for trolling. Comments to PMSo you really love being ao oversensitive.. you love making sure that everyone is included because after all there is always sine demographic being left out and they HAVE TO BE PUT IN. .. (are you offended that more freckled faces are not put in lead roles?). Are you offended when Elmer Fudd shoots Daffy over and over?
