There is no diversity in these films.. or captian marvel.. sure you might have people that look different, that have a different gender and whatnot, but tehy are all representing the same political views as the writers and the rest of the Hollywood elite.

You realize the Hollywood "elite" are primarily old white male conservatives whose sole goal is to make money? Do you know why they invest in diversity? Because it is the best bet to get their investments back with large profits.

I suppose we could point out that "plan A" for casting Star Wars back in 1975 was for the majority of the cast to be non-white (Obi-Wan & Leia would have been Japanese, & Han Solo would have been black) but Toshiro Mifune said "No", so Lucas went to "Plan B": ask Alec Guiness instead. And of course there's the piddling little detail that for a while fairly late in pre-production Luke was going to be female. SHE even made it into one of the posters.

Of course I feel like an appeal of facts and logic would be lost on a closed mind wrapped in an obnoxious gobshite...that is of such a one were to read this...

90 percent of the fanbase is male.. and even the women who have been fans of the franchise since the beginning.. many of them don't want the change for the sake of change, they don't need to be pandered to.. a good story is a good story. Most Rush fans are male.. but women still listen .. more every day, but if Rush had started writing more corny country like love songs and trying to change their target audience to bring in more women, they might not have succeeded.. and could have alienated their fan base

my point is that these franchises should not try to change their target.

Just like it's not the oscar's jobs to pick a winner just because that person is a new demographic that has not won before
