But why is Picard younger in his dream? The whole point is that it's NOT a recreation of TNG era, but is him in the present trying to understand something. This Deepfaking ruins the intent of the scene.

I don’t disagree with you, but the stated intent of the post was to experiment with the deepfaki g tech, not trying to rewrite the trailer or the story. If anything, this thread probably belongs in Fan Art more than here.

If I've posted in the wrong forum, I apologize. Perhaps a mod can move my thread to Fan Art, possibly a more fitting category. I didn't intend to re-write the plot so much as demonstrate deep-learning tech. I've been a Star Trek fan all my life.
