Impossible XD

You're lucky. I can't watch at all until I get home. I work in public access television and I have a record a municipal town meeting where I'll be switching between cameras. If my attention's not 100%, everyone will notice. Especially if I have the wrong person on. Then the town bigwigs will complain to the manager.

But, at least I'll have something to look forward to when I come home.

5 pm pacific is a very stupid time, I'll have to sneak out and watch it on my phone somewhere, cause people would see me watching it on my work computer :(

Call in sick that day. Make sure to do the fake cough though so they will believe it.

Disco S1 was released on Sundays, that was much nicer XD

I can't be "sick" every Thursday ;)

I know it is tough to wait. But I'd rather watch it on my TV versus a cell phone.
If the choice is between immediately on the phone, or hours later on the big screen, I choose... both!

Looks to me like they pulled it off.
Really? Then I must have a very different monitor with different color registration because the lower pic from ST:NEM has a different color and the material weave seems different too.

You don't. 100% perfection isn't my threshold. It passes the test. That's good enough for what's supposed to be a dream. Also taking into account this is being made almost two decades later, the actor is older, and it's being done by a different production team.

New promotional featurette from CBS, featuring some lovely new clips and interviews.

I hope that these clips are the pacing the whole series will use (not a bait and switch situation).

The dialogue here in particular, I think is quite poetic and emotional for me in particular...

Zhaban: "Laris heard you talking in your sleep last night."

Laris: "Bad Dreams?"

Picard: "The Dreams are lovely... It's the waking up I am beginning to resent."

So between all the clips, I think we now have now seen a solid chunk of E1.

Open on the Data dream sequence clip. Mars is destroyed, Picard wakes up, pets Number One. He opens the balcony. Cut to the clip of JL walking Number One, speaking French. Picard joins his Romulan friends, says Number One needs a bath, talks about his dreams. We see the Romulan man working in the kitchen, as Jean Luc orders Earl Grey Decaf. Next comes some stuff we haven't seen, but it will be undoubtedly be established that Picard is due for an interview on the anniversary of the evacuation of Romulus. He doesn't have much confidence in himself, even as he is getting ready in the evening. This is the clip we see of the Romulan woman saying, "We have not". She and the other Romulan give Picard a pep talk, and off he goes for his interview. A lot of backstory will then be revealed. Dahj will see him on the screens and realize he is the person to help her. She travels to find him the next day, we see the clip of him sitting in a funk, citing famous quotes to Number One. We see the clip of Dahj saying, "Please sir, I need your help." She explains who she is, but we may not be told just yet. Picard travels to Starfleet to ask for help, is denied. On his way out, Dahj is attacked by the Tau Shiar commandos, killed. Picard is now determined. He comes back to his vineyard, talks to his old friend by an evening fire, telling him he wants to "go back out into the cold", one more mission to help this woman's sister. Maybe that's the end of E1?

Indeed, I was thinking the same thing. The pace is good, a welcome change from what we've come to expect from Star Trek over the past decade.

My fear for the show isn't the Picard elements, but more with the new characters and situations.
