That would be interesting.

I grew up in Germany. All foreign programs are dubbed and lip-synced. As a child, I failed to realise the actors were not speaking German.
I wonder if they get the old German TNG voice talent back (those of whom are still alive) or just premiere it in English with subtitles.

I remember how weird it was that Tom Paris received a new voice halfway through VOY. :)

„Dies sind die Reisen des neuen Raumschiffs Enterprise...“

From the first trailer it seems like Ernst Meincke, Michael Pan, Detlev Bierstedt and Eva Kryll (the first voice for Troi) are back. Seven also has her old voice (Anke Reitzenstein). So the synchro for the TNG characters seems to be done by a mix of voice actors for the old ZDF episodes as well as the Sat 1 ones (Meincke and Reitzenstein).

Right, given I teased that and it’s been picked up on, I don’t want to be a dick by continuously refusing to answer! So, I’ll pop it in a spoiler code below.

The only Starfleet vessel that you see, in space, is:

The 1701-D

Does that scene have a connection to the Data scenes?

Will Data appear on board of the Enterprise D wearing his First Contact Uniform (which makes no sense, but it's a dream anyway)? Because the poker scene seems to be in Ten Forward.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head. Doesn’t even feel like I’m spoiling that, given it’s there in the trailer haha

Apologies if this has already been asked, but re Data, how does he look de-aging wise, is the brief clip released recently (where there seemed to be far less CGI applied than the two previous versions) the final product?

I avoided the most recent clips, so couldn’t tell you, but he pretty much looks exactly the same as in NEM, I thought.

I see that people are complaining in multiple places about the camerawork in that clip--that the camera never stops moving. I don't know what to say. Personally, I love this clip, from the music to the intimacy of it.

Jesus. They’ll complain about anything, won’t they? Some people really will not be happy until they have their static camera 80/90s Trek back.

Do the Romulans have a yellow-green tint to their skin? Or are they the pasty white Ethan Peck is in Discovery.

Isn't the point in PIC that the Romulans are all over the map, and the color chart?

I hope we get alien sorts of ethnic variety there. The forehead ridges at least appear to be a true Romulan ethnic distinguishing feature, all sorts finally appearing side by side. Probably the same deal as with Andorian antennae (different productions using different sorts that can be interpreted as variety), only we never got an Andorian family meeting that would explicate the differences as variety.

Personally I don't want static camera back, but I really found Discovery's camerawork distracting at times. Don't do a fast pan, shakycam, etc unless there's some pressing reason to.

I didn't find that camerawork distracting because it was obviously set up at roughly the speed a human being would shift their focus with a head turn or something. It's when camerawork does something a person can't easily do that it brings you out of immersion.
